Abstract:
A gripper formed as a single component includes a hoop portion connecting facing arms. Each arm may have a tang end, a jaw end and a pivot intermediate the tang and jaw ends and be attached to the hoop portion at the pivot to be pivotable to change the size of a jaw opening defined by the jaw ends. The hoop portion is cyclically loaded in use and configured to act as a stress concentrator for the gripper and provide a failure point for consistently initiating a failure crack in the hoop portion at time of failure of the gripper. Each of the facing arms is attachable to a base such that at failure, the fractured portions of the gripper are retained to the base.
Abstract:
An apparatus for handling and transporting containers includes a gripper element for holding or gripping a container having a body region, a closable mouth opening on a top thereof, and a neck region therebetween, with the gripper element being configured as a suction gripper.
Abstract:
A gripper (42) for gripping an object (14), intended for a transfer device includes two jaws (64, 66). Each of the jaws includes: a recess (92), and a first clamping portion (94) and a second locking portion (96). The first clamping portion (94) of each jaw (64, 66) of the gripper (42) includes a supporting surface and, when the gripper (42) is closed around an object (14) occupying a predetermined reference position, the supporting surface is intended to engage with a portion of a bearing surface of a radial collar of the object.
Abstract:
The invention is an improvement to a conveying equipment that includes at least one curved corridor in which runs a queue of products moved by an endless mobile belt, said corridor being defined by: a first wall connected to the frame and having a first fixed curvature radius and a second wall mobile relative to said frame and having a second curvature radius that varies based on the products, said second mobile wall including: a guiding profile that may comprise several members, used as a friction surface and extending from an inlet up to an outlet of said curved corridor opposite said first fixed wall; a structure bearing said guiding profile, the structure including several segments connected to moving means, said segments being in abutment and distributed between the inlet and the outlet of the curved corridor and being movably housed in said guiding profile.
Abstract:
A device for transferring articles between a first machine implementing intermittent movement of the articles at a first predetermined pitch, and a second machine implementing continuous movement of the articles at a second predetermined pitch, the device comprising a flexible conveyor extending around at least two pulleys so as to have at least one rectilinear segment facing a conveyor of the first machine and a rounded segment facing a conveyor of the second machine, the flexible conveyor of the device carrying laterally-projecting article-handling members arranged at regular intervals in such a manner that the handling members are at a pitch corresponding to the first pitch in said rectilinear segment, and said rounded segment has a radius such that the handling members are at a pitch corresponding to the second pitch in the rounded segment. A container-packaging installation including such a device.
Abstract:
A pneumatic conveyor which includes a tubular channel (1) defining in its lower part a guidance and propulsion track (2) to transport products. The tubular channel (1) is equipped at regular intervals with a member, which provides guidance and support (6). The pressurized air conduits (4), the electrical wiring (5), and a plurality of covers can be click-locked onto the guidance and support member, which covers the corresponding edges of the tubular channel.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprises a bottle clamp having first and second clamp arms extending beyond respective first and second pivot axes. The clamp arms are held in a closed position. A rotatable locking element part is provided on an extension region of the first clamp arm, and a fixed locking element part is provided on an extension region of the second clamp arm.
Abstract:
A gripper for manipulating containers includes a support on which a cam mechanism is pivotally mounted. The gripper has a first jaw operated by the cam mechanism and a second jaw controlled by the first jaw. The first jaw has an actuator which interacts with a receiving mechanism on the second jaw for opening or closing the gripper. The actuator is pivotally associated with the first jaw so that, when force is applied by the receiving mechanism due to rotation of the second jaw relative to the first jaw, the actuator can rotate relative to the first jaw to allow the gripper to open.
Abstract:
A gripper has a pair of supports 22A, 22B positioned on opposite sides of a bottle made of resin, and abutments 24A, 24B disposed respectively on the supports 22A, 22B for holding the bottle 4 made of resin, each of the abutments 24A, 24B have two thin plates 26A, 28A, 26B, 28B which are vertically spaced from each other. The abutments 24A, 24B hold the bottle 4 by gripping a neck 4a of the bottle 4 on its opposite sides. While holding the bottle 4, the supports 22A, 22B are held out of contact with an outer surface of the bottle 4, allowing the electron beam to travel around the neck 4a to sterilize the entire surface of the bottle 4.
Abstract:
A conveying means (1) is described having running rollers (7) which can be supported on a guide (2). At least one running roller (7) is mounted on a roller lever (12a) which can be pivoted between a first and a second position with the aid of a pivoting mechanism (13, 33) and can be locked in a position. In order to make a conveying means of this type simpler in structural terms and less susceptible to wear, it is proposed to equip the pivoting mechanism (13, 33) with a toggle lever (14) which is connected to an actuating element (21), wherein the toggle lever comprises a first and a second lever element (14a, 14b) which are connected to one another via a joint (15).
