    摘要: When laser beams with a wavelength of 9.3 μm or 9.6 μm are used, a pulse width t (μsec) which is a radiation time of the laser beam and an energy density E (kw/cm2) of the laser beam on an X-ray film are set such that they meet requirements based on an area A between line segments A1 and A2. Moreover, when laser beams with a wavelength of a 10-micrometer band, such as 10.6 μm, is used, the pulse width and the energy density are set such that they meet requirements based on an area B between line segments B1 and B2. As a result, since the pulse width t is within a range of equal to or larger than 3 μsec and smaller than 30 μsec, a high-quality marking pattern with excellent visibility can be formed while improving the productivity of the X-ray film.

    摘要: Thermally developable imaging materials have an outermost protective layer that is composed of one or more hydrophilic film-forming components. The predominant film-forming component is a negatively-charged latex polymer that has negatively-charged ionic groups other than carboxy groups. The latex polymer is present as latex particles that have been prepared in the presence of a nonionic stabilizer in an amount of at least 0.5% (by weight) that has an HLB value of 7 to 20. The nonionic stabilizer becomes associated with the latex polymer particles. Both thermographic and photothermographic materials can be prepared with such protective layers.

    摘要: Buried backside conductive layers with increased conductive efficiency can be provided for thermally developable materials using a specific organic solvent mixture to coat a protective overcoat directly disposed over the conductive layer. This organic solvent mixture comprises an alcohol in which one or more film-forming polymers used in the formulation are soluble at room temperature. The alcohol is used in an amount of more than 10 and up to 90 weight % of the organic solvent mixture.
