摘要: Systems and methods for performing logic built-in-self-tests (LBISTs) in digital circuits, where scan shift operations of the LBIST circuitry are performed at reduced rates. In one embodiment, a base clock signal is gated before being provided to LBIST circuitry. The clock signal is gated to produce an effective clock rate that is reduced in one or more steps from a first rate that is used in a functional phase of LBIST testing to a reduced rate that is used in a scan shift phase. The effective clock rate is stepped back up at the end of the scan shift phase to the first rate which is used in the following functional phase.

摘要: Systems and methods for reducing or eliminating the effect of timing variations in signals generated by devices that are subject to the history effect, wherein devices are enabled using a combination of timing signals, some of which are subject to timing variations arising from the history effect, and some of which are not. In one embodiment, a sense amplifier includes a pair of serially configured transistors that couple the sense amplifier to ground. One of the transistors is switched on/off by a clock signal that is not subject to history-effect timing variations, and the other is switched on/off by a signal that is subject to such variations. The second signal has pulses that are selectively delayed so that they will (or will not) overlap with the pulses of the clock signal in a controlled manner.

摘要: Systems and methods for decreasing the sensitivity of a sense amplifier to variations in the threshold voltages of the data line pull-down transistors by pre-charging the intermediate nodes of the sense amplifier to the voltages on the opposing bit lines when the sense amplifier is not enabled. In one embodiment, the intermediate nodes are coupled to the input bit lines through transistors that are switched on when the sense amplifier is not enabled and switched off when the sense amplifier is enabled. In one embodiment, the intermediate nodes are pre-charged to a predetermined voltage before being pre-charged to the voltages on the bit lines. In one embodiment, the bodies of the data line pull-down transistors may also be body-tied to the opposing intermediate nodes to increase current flow through these transistors, particularly on the side of the sense amplifier that will be pulled low when the sense amplifier is enabled.

摘要: Systems and methods for providing illumination suitable for imaging devices such as laser projection systems. In one embodiment, a highly collimated (e.g., laser light) beam is passed through a holographic diffuser to create a well defined cone angle for the light emanating from each point on the diffuser. This light is focused into an illumination image that is controlled by the prescription of the diffuser. In one embodiment, the image is a uniformly intense rectangle having a 4:3 aspect ratio to match an imager for a projection display. The diffuser prescription and resulting illumination image can be selected to match any desired imager. The present systems and methods may provide the advantages of high level of light efficiency, reduction or elimination of speckle and “worminess” and reduction or elimination of cosine4 and gaussian intensity falloff, all of which are common in prior art designs.

摘要: Systems and methods for noncontact ablation of tissues or materials in/on the body using a luminal catheter and a catheter inserted into the lumen. In one embodiment, the luminal catheter is an ablation catheter and the other catheter is a recording/measurement/positioning catheter. The luminal catheter incorporates a noncontact ablation element such as an ultrasonic transducer. The luminal catheter can be inserted through the skin and into the body (e.g., into the heart) and the recording/measurement/positioning catheter can be inserted into the lumen so that the ablation and recording/measurement/positioning catheters are simultaneously positioned to record/measure the electrical activity of the target tissue and ablate the target tissue without causing the trauma that results from the introduction of additional catheters. Either of the ablation and recording/measurement/positioning catheters can be steerable, and either may incorporate recording/measurement electrodes.

摘要: Systems and methods for connecting power cables to downhole equipment such as ESPs using side-exit (radial) connections. In one embodiment, a system includes an electric drive coupled by a power cable to an ESP. The electric drive is positioned at the surface of a well with the power cable coupled to it. The power cable extends into the well bore and is coupled to the downhole equipment which is positioned in the well bore. The power cable has a connector with a first set of radially oriented terminals (the terminals are perpendicular to the conductors of the power cable). These terminals engage a second set of terminals that are installed in the downhole equipment. The radial orientation of the terminals of the connector and downhole equipment allow the power cable to remain axially oriented, thereby facilitating engagement of the terminals and requiring less annular space in the well bore.

摘要: Systems and methods for determining interest levels for sporting events and notifying users when the sporting events' interest levels reach threshold levels. One embodiment is a system that includes a processing engine that receives data associated with sporting events and, based on this data, determines interest levels associated with the sporting events. The system also includes a notification engine is coupled to the processing engine. When the processing engine determines that the interest level associated with a particular sporting event has reached a threshold, the notification engine provides notifications to users indicating that the threshold level has been reached.

摘要: Systems and methods for cutting piles wherein, for example, a pile cutting device is attached to the end of an articulated arm of an excavator, the pile cutting device having a set of grasping arms that hold the pile and a set of saw blades that are linearly advanced to cut the pile in a single stroke. The saw blades are offset so that the cutting paths of the blades overlap. The saw blades may be positioned at the ends of telescoping arms that are coupled to a linearly movable frame. A single hydraulic unit moves the frame along a central rail. The frame is coupled to one or more cables and pulleys so that the travel of the telescopic arms is twice that of the frame.

摘要: Systems and methods for preventing diffusers in pumps such as electric submersible pumps from bursting or collapsing in over-pressure and/or under-pressure conditions, where one or more diffusers in the pump includes check valves in the exterior diffuser wall. The check valves remain closed when a pressure differential between the diffuser interior and exterior is within a predetermined range, but open when the pressure differential between the diffuser interior and the interstitial space is outside the predetermined range to relieve overpressure and underpressure conditions. When the pressure differential returns to an acceptable range, the check valves close, preventing recirculation of fluid between the diffusers of the different stages. O-rings or other types of seals may be installed between each stage and the pump housing to provide some isolation of the external pressure on the diffuser of each stage.
