Abstract: A device, system, and method gives temporary control of a user device using location based grants. The method performed by a control server of a third party is performed when the user device is in a predetermined area. The method includes transmitting authentication data to the user device, the authentication data configured to authenticate the third party to the user device, the predetermined area being associated with the third party. The method includes receiving a request from the user device for command data, the command data configured to be executed on the user device to provide the third party with a limited control over the user device while the user device remains in the predetermined area. The method includes transmitting the command data to the user device.

Abstract: Mobile devices and other devices used in transactions or interactions with other computer systems can be identified by an abstract composite of information unique to the device. For example, the device can record and store when a user first started the device (a date and time of first use), how the device is configured (including any hardware/software identifications, versions, install dates, time when configurations or installations occurred, etc.), etc. All of the information can be collected for a specified period of time (e.g., 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.), periodically, or continually. This process yields a large collection of data, which can be condensed (a record before condensing the data may be approximately 10 to 50 MB). The data may then be encapsulated in a blockchain. At least a portion of the blockchain may then be exchanged to identify the device.

Abstract: Communication information is received from a Wireless Fidelity (“WiFi”) interface. The WiFi interface may receive WiFi information from a WiFi endpoint and/or BLE beacons from a Bluetooth device. The reason a WiFi device can receive BLE beacons is because WiFi channels and BLE beacon frequencies overlap. The BLE beacon may come from a various types of Bluetooth devices, such as a sensor, a mobile device, a communication device, and/or the like. The communication information is filtered based on one or more defined BLE beacon channels. If there are one or more BLE beacons detected in the one or more defined BLE beacon channels, BLE information is generated. The BLE information is then sent to a communication device that tracks the BLE information. For example a network monitoring station can track the BLE information.

Abstract: A customer service robot may be selected, or configured, to address a particular work item. Robots may comprise different functionality due to absent software or hardware or due to existent but worn or non-compliant components. A particular work item may have several means of resolution. A particular resolution path is selected in accord with the ability of a robot. Should no path exist, the robot may be transformed by the addition or installation of hardware and/or software to provide the absent functionality. Resolution paths may also be weighted based on the level of success provided by prior resolution paths and/or the requirement for human involvement. Accordingly, a resolution path may be provided that balances robot capability with the likelihood of success and an appropriate level of human involvement.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems, methods, and computer readable media for extending the lifetime of a network address when an address system is unavailable. In a particular embodiment, a method provides, upon determining that a first network address for a network element has reached a preferred lifetime for the first network address, transitioning the network element to an extended rebind state that allows the first network address to remain in the preferred state. While the network element is in the extended rebind state, the method provides attempting to contact an address system and determining whether a second network element is assigned the first network address. The method further provides maintaining the first network address in the preferred state and the network element in the extended rebind state until contact is made with the address system or the second network element is determined to be assigned the first network address.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing Protocol-Independent Multicast (PIM) snooping for a Shortest Path Bridging Multicast (SPBM) Network is presented. An ingress Backbone Edge Bridge (BEB) device of a Shortest Path Bridging (SPB) network having at least one egress BEB coupled to at least one PIM network performs the following operations. The egress BEB, snoops join and prune messages for a multicast stream in the SPB network. A multicast tree is built in the SPB network for the multicast stream in accordance with the join and prune messages. The multicast stream is forwarded through the SPB network in accordance with the multicast tree.
