Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for multiple AP coordination in wireless local area networks (WLANs). For example, a station (STA) may receive, from a first access points (APs), a probe response frame that includes one or more indicators indicating multiple AP operation capabilities of the first AP and a second AP. The STA may transmit, to at least one of the first AP or the second AP, a multiple AP association request frame that enables the first AP to be associated with the second AP for a multiple AP operation. The STA may receive, from the first AP, a first multiple AP association response frame indicating acceptance or rejection of the multiple AP operation with the first AP. The STA may receive, from the second AP, a second multiple AP association response frame indicating acceptance or rejection of the multiple AP operation with the second AP.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) channel access are provided herein. A method performed by a station may include receiving, from an access point (AP), a frame including information indicating a broadcast address. The frame may further include a control trailer including information indicating that a multi-user multiple input-multiple output (MU-MIMO) frame is to be transmitted by the AP and information indicative of a designation of a plurality of STAs, the plurality of STAs including the STA. The frame may solicit response frames from at least the designated plurality of STAs. The method may further include transmitting a response frame to the indicated broadcast address and receiving the MU-MIMO frame from the AP.

Abstract: Methods and systems for operation in a WLAN are provided. Methods and systems for a transmit power control (TPC) scheme are disclosed. In an embodiment, an access point (AP) may send a trigger frame to one or more stations (STAs) for synchronizing and scheduling uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmissions. The trigger frame may contain an open-loop power control index 1 and a power adjustment index 2. The one or more STAs may estimate pathloss using an indicated AP transmit power and received power to set a baseline transmit power. The one or more STAs may adjust their transmit power in the UL transmission period to be the indicated target receive power at the AP.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for broadcast service negotiation and non-simultaneous transmit-receive (STR) channel blindness recovery are provided herein. Some methods performed by a Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU), may comprise operating over a first link; operating over a second link; receiving a frame including a Network Allocation Vector (NAV) setting associated with the second link, the NAV setting indicating a time duration; and sending a transmission over the first link, wherein a duration of the transmission over the first link is shorter than or equal to the time duration indicated by the NAV setting. The frame including the NAV setting indicates that the time duration may not be extended or modified. The method may further comprise sending, by the WTRU, an indication that it the WTRU is capable of performing a multi-link restricted transmission. The WTRU may enter a sleep mode on the first link after sending the transmission over the first link.

Abstract: Methods for multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) transmission are provided herein. A method may include sensing, using at least one of a plurality of antenna chains, radio frequency (RF) energy on a channel in a first time duration and may indicate the channel is busy. RF energy may be sensed on the channel using the at least one of the plurality of antenna chains in a second time duration and may indicate the channel is not busy. A method may include sending energy level sensed during the second time duration, a frame using the at least one of the plurality of antenna chains. The frame may indicate timing information associated with a MIMO transmission. The MIMO transmission may be sent using the indicated timing information and the at least one of the plurality of antenna chains.

Abstract: A station may receive a frame transmitted to a plurality of stations (STAs). The frame may indicate a first frequency resource allocated for the STA and a second frequency resource allocated for another STA of the plurality of STAs. The STA may transmit a data frame using the first frequency resource and receive an acknowledgement frame that acknowledges receipt of the data frame. The STA may receive a multiple user request to send (MU RTS) frame transmitted to the plurality of STAs and may subsequently transmit a clear to send (CTS) frame in response to receipt of the MU RTS frame. The RTS/CTS transmissions may occur prior to transmission of the data frame.

Abstract: A method and apparatus may be used to support coordinated and cooperative sectorized transmissions. Power control and clear channel assessment for sectorized transmissions may be used, along with sectorized beacon and associated procedures. Transmissions in a network may be protected by a first access point (AP) sending an omni-directional transmission and a beamformed or sectorized transmission to a station (STA), an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) confirming a spatially orthogonal (SO) condition based on the omni-directional transmission, and a second AP monitoring the omni-directional transmission and confirming the SO condition. The STA may be configured to receive a request-to-send (RTS) frame indicating data is available for transmission, and transmit a cooperative sectorized (CS) clear-to-send (CTS) frame indicating an ability for multiple AP reception.

Abstract: Methods, devices and systems are provided for performing for multi-user (MU) transmission. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to receive a frame, decode the received frame and determine whether the received frame is a null data packet (NDP) multi-user (MU) media access control (MAC) physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) (NDP MU MAC PPDU) based on meeting an NDP condition. The NDP MU MAC PPDU may correspond to an MU transmission and may include a PLCP header which includes an NDP signal (SIG) field having MU control information. Based on the received frame meeting the NDP condition, the WTRU may be further configured to process the NDP SIG field, generate a response based on the NDP SIG field and the MU control information, and transmit the response.
