Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a unicast channel for a first downlink transmission from a base station using a first semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) from the base station indicating a second SPS configuration associated with a different coverage level than the first SPS configuration. In some cases, the DCI may be DCI that is common to a set of UEs. Here, the DCI may indicate the second SPS configuration and the UE may identify a set of parameters associated with the second SPS configuration based on a radio resource control (RRC) message received prior to the DCI. Based on receiving the indication of the second SPS configuration, the UE may monitor the unicast channel for a second downlink transmission from the base station using the second SPS configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment may determine parameters for congestion metrics based on a type for a channel access procedure associated with a sidelink transmission. The user equipment may determine a channel access procedure type for a sidelink channel transmission, and determine a limit for a channel occupancy (e.g., a channel occupancy ratio) based on the type. The user equipment may compare the channel occupancy with the limit to determine whether to transmit the sidelink channel transmission, based on whether the channel is available. In some aspects, the user equipment may additionally perform the channel access procedure (e.g., a listen before talk procedure) to determine whether to transmit the sidelink channel transmission. The user equipment may also perform channel measurements to obtain a congestion metric (e.g., a channel busy ratio) based on a threshold before transmitting the sidelink channel transmission.

Abstract: Aspects are provided which improve LBT by associating contention windows with transmission burst lengths and by allowing contention windows and maximum burst lengths to be adjusted based on interference activity. For downlink, a UE receives a PG for a downlink transmission from a base station indicating a CCA length based on a contention window size associated at least with a burst length for the downlink transmission. The UE performs, after receiving the pre-grant, a CCA based on the CCA length, transmits an APG to the base station when the CCA is successful, and receives the downlink transmission in response to the APG. For uplink, the base station performs a CCA based on a contention window associated at least with a burst length for an uplink transmission, transmits an uplink grant to the UE when the CCA is successful, and receives the uplink transmission in response to the uplink grant.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for sidelink beamforming alignment over a set of resources based on a deterministic sequence in a wireless communication system. In aspects, an sidelink initiator user equipment (UE) may initiate a beamforming alignment procedure with a responder UE over a the sidelink. The initiator UE may define a set of subchannels specified by a deterministic sequence. The set of subchannels may be subchannels over which the initiator UE may perform reception beam sweeping. The deterministic sequence may be anchored to a direct frame number (DFN) of the sidelink frame without initial sensing, and may be determined via a sequence index, as a function of sidelink UE identification ID(s), or a combination thereof. In this manner, the number of bits for indicating the deterministic sequence to the responder UE may be reasonable, manageable, and/or moderate.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and cell specific reference signal (CRS) collision avoidance procedures for wireless communication. Conventional networks and devices may be unable to perform DMRS shifting in some modes. For example, when considering two transmissions of multiple TRP modes, if a DMRS symbol for one transmission is shifted due to a collision with a CRS pattern, the alignment of the transmissions may be altered. If DMRS symbols of the transmissions are not aligned, interference or decoding failure may occur. The disclosure enables procedures for performing DMRS shifting in multiple TRP modes. For example, the DMRS symbols of both transmissions may be shifted responsive to determining an overlap for one transmission. Such shifting may enable the alignment of the DMRS locations for both transmissions to enable decoding of the transmissions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications that support physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) carrying hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ-A) for multiple transmission reception point (multi-TRP) environments with non-ideal backhaul links are described. A user equipment (UE) may support multiple communication links with TRPs and receive distinct physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) messages that include downlink control information (DCI). The DCI may include a timing or resource indication index values for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission. Based on the index values, the UE may differentiate the received DCI indications. The UE may then schedule PUCCH transmissions, including hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) payloads, directed to the TRPs. In some examples, the scheduling may include mapping the PUCCH transmissions to resources or resource groups in configured PUCCH resource set. The UE may then transmit the PUCCH messages via one or more determined beams based on the indication index values.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating phase jump estimation for SL DMRS bundling are disclosed herein. An example method includes receiving, from another device, first information at a first symbol of a first slot, the first slot including at least the first symbol and a first reference signal. The example method also includes receiving second information at a second symbol of a second slot, the second slot including at least the second symbol and a second reference signal, the first information and the second information being repetitions. The example method also includes generating a first reference signal copy based at least on the second reference signal and a phase jump between the first slot and the second slot. Additionally, the example method includes performing channel estimation across the first slot and the second slot based on an aggregation of the first reference signal and the first reference signal copy.
