    摘要: An imaging system is provided that includes a target detector, a readout area determiner and a readout processor. The target detector detects a target subject from an effective pixel area of an image sensor. The readout area determiner defines a readout area within the effective pixel area, the readout area corresponding to a detected target. The readout processor reads out only pixel signals within the readout area. A partial area within the readout area is redefined as the readout area when the size of the original readout area is greater than a predetermined size.

The liquid crystal compound is provided as compound (1): wherein, for example, R1 is alkyl having 1 to 20 carbons; ring A1 and ring B1 are 1,4-cyclohexylene or 1,4-phenylene; Z1 and Z2 are a single bond, —CH2CH2—, —CH═CH— or —C≡C—; L1 is fluorine; L2, Y1 and Y2 are hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine; and X1 is halogen, —C≡N or alkyl having 1 to 10 carbons, and in the alkyl, arbitrary —CH2— may be replaced by —O— or —S—, and m is 1 and n is 0.

    摘要: A high-accuracy matching result is obtained when a condition of a photographed input image differs from a condition of a photographed registration image. A face matching device including the registration face image, in which a person is photographed, and a photographing condition which corresponds to the registration face image are registered in a registration face image database. The face matching device includes a condition detecting unit, a registration face image selecting unit, and a matching unit. The condition detecting unit detects a photographing condition in the input face image which includes the photographed person. The registration face image selecting unit determines and selects the closest of the photographing condition from the input face image with the photographing conditions of the registration face images based on the determined closeness of the photographing condition. The matching unit performs matching using the registration face image corresponding to the selected photographing condition.

    摘要: A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided that can precisely reflect requirements relating to performance of the internal combustion engine in a control amount of each actuator by compensating for weaknesses in the so-called torque demand control. A requirement value of each of torque, efficiency, and an air-fuel ratio, and engine information are inputted to an engine inverse model. The engine inverse model is then used to calculate actuator requirement values for achieving those requirement values. An actuator direct requirement value directly required of each of actuators is also acquired. Control of the actuators is adapted to be changed between that according to the actuator requirement value and that according to the actuator direct requirement value.

    摘要: The present invention provides an ultraviolet light irradiation device having a planer UV light source in which the irradiation intensity of UV light can be adjusted finely in a wider range. The ultraviolet light irradiation device of the present invention comprises an UV light source and a housing that holds the planer UV light source. In the UV light source, a plurality of thin plasma tubes, each of which has an UV phosphor layer formed therein, are arranged in parallel with each other on an electrode support sheet, and drive circuits apply a pulse voltage to electrode pairs provided between the electrode support sheet and an array of the thin plasma tubes. A control circuit controls a factor of the pulse voltage to be applied to the electrode pairs so as to adjust the irradiation intensity of the UV light.
