Abstract:
A storage rack for flat-shaped stock (4) is provided having at least one rack unit (2) which has several rack compartments arranged above one another to receive the stock (4). A rack control unit controls placement of the stock in storage or its removal. The rack control unit is arranged to be vertically adjustable relative to the rack unit and has a lifting mechanism (6) for vertical adjustment. The lifting mechanism (6) has at least one bar (7, 8) extending generally in a vertical direction, allocated to the rack unit (2), and a drive wheel (9) allocated to the vertically adjustable rack control unit, and the drive wheel (9) interacts with the bar (7, 8) via a drive gear.
Abstract:
A method and a device for putting flat, stacked objects, particularly envelopes, packaging bags, and the like, in intermediate storage and making them available. The flat objects coming out of a production machine are set down onto a stacking surface with one of their edges, and subsequently transported to a transfer location by a device for forming and making available defined rows. From there, the rows are pushed to a storage location or the issuance location, using a transport device that is driven independently of the machine cycle.
Abstract:
A device for changing a direction of conveyance of flat postal items and a position of the postal items relative to their direction of conveyance includes a driven carousel tray to which one or more gripper arms whose lengths are modifiable in a controlled manner are fastened. At free ends of these arms controlled joint ends having two or three degrees of freedom are provided and grippers are attached thereto. The gripper arm lengths, the spatial orientations of the grippers during rotation and the rotation speed can be controlled in such a manner that the grippers carry out linear movements along the conveyor tracks of the conveyor means to be supplied and carried away at approximately the same speed of conveyance as the respective conveyor means. During the linear movements, the joint ends and the grippers are oriented in the same spatial orientation relative to the respective conveyor tracks.
Abstract:
An apparatus for transferring articles such as absorbent cores or disposable diaper chassis components from a rotary mechanism, such as a pad turner, to a linear mechanism, such as a conveyor, for further processing. The invention provides a device for picking an article from the outside of a toroidal surface, thence extending transversely under tension the article to be transferred so that at the point of deposition the article is held flat and at full length. Further, the invention allows for apparatus to match the velocity of both the first and second transfer points, even if these velocities are not the same. The device is of particular benefit where an article to be transferred is subject to internally biasing elastic forces.
Abstract:
The apparatus for transmitting a workpiece along a press line includes a support frame; a support frame driving unit; a plurality of air pipes; an air flow forming unit; a plurality of rollers; and a roller driving unit. The plurality of suction cups are provided at a perimeter of each of the rollers A plurality of air exhaust passages extends from an inner surface of each suction cup to a respective air passage are formed in each of the rollers, such that air within a closed space formed between the suction cup and the workpiece is exhausted to the air passage by a difference between a pressure within the closed space and a pressure in the air passage.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device for separating imbricated flat products, in particular, folding boxes, with a delivery belt on which the products are supported in the form of an imbricated flow and are transported at a transport speed, with a transfer conveyor belt, disposed downstream of the delivery belt, which has a higher transport speed than the delivery belt. The transfer conveyor belt is designed as vacuum belt, or comprises a vacuum belt, and a retaining device is provided for the trailing flat products.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device which comprises a driven carousel tray to which one or more gripper arms whose lengths can be modified in a controlled manner are fastened. At the free ends of these arms controlled joint ends having two or three degrees of freedom are provided and grippers are attached thereto. During the linear movements, the joint ends and the grippers are always oriented in the same spatial orientation relative to the respective conveyor tracks.
Abstract:
A method of stacking a veneer sheet carried by a conveyer onto a pile of similar veneer sheets is disclosed. Veneer sheet is separated from the conveyer thereby to allow the sheet to drop from the conveyer toward the pile. The veneer sheet being dropped is restrained by an elongated flexible member which is lowered substantially simultaneously with the above separation and at such a speed that the flexible member is brought into frictional engagement with the veneer sheet at at least one side thereof which extends in substantially perpendicular relation to the length of the elongated flexible member. The flexible member is lowered until it is bent in pressing engagement with the veneer sheet then dropped onto the pile at the above side thereof. An apparatus for performing the method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A panel turning apparatus which turns a panel from a first orientation to a second, desired orientation. The apparatus has a rotatable portion rotatable about an axis of rotation thereof, and a base portion which supports the rotatable portion for rotation about the axis of rotation. The rotatable portion has a panel carrying portion aligned with the axis of rotation, a supported portion which supports the rotatable member for rotation and a driving portion by which the rotatable member is rotated to carry a panel carried by the panel carrying portion from the first orientation to the second, desired orientation. The apparatus permits a panel, even a large and heavy panel, to be turned safely and easily by one person.
Abstract:
The invention is a pallet pin which contains an integral floating magnet assembly. The floating magnet assembly is mounted within the internal cavity of the pin and is attached to a longitudinally extending member which is located within the interior space of the fanner housing. The floating magnet assembly is provided with low-friction rollers which engage the longitudinally extending member. The magnet assembly is thereby permitted to traverse freely the length of the interior of the housing of the device, permitting the permanent magnet assembly to automatically reposition itself in relation to an adjoining sheet of magnetic material, and to induce the upper sheets of a stack of magnetic materials to separate. The entire assembly is mounted within a housing having a handle, and one or more locating holes for the purpose of positioning the entire assembly in relation to a pallet on which sheets of magnetic material may be stored. The invention both restrains lateral movement of the sheets of magnetic material and provides separating forces to separate the upper sheets from the stack so that they may be manipulated for removal from the stack.
