    Abstract: A robot comprises an auger-based drive system, a memory, and a processor coupled with the memory and configured to control movement of the robot, via the auger-based drive system, relative to grain in a flat storage bulk store. The processor is further configured to direct traversal, by the robot, of a portion of a pile of the grain in the flat storage bulk store. The traversal is performed to incite sediment gravity flow in the portion of pile of grain system to walk-down the grain in the portion. The sediment gravity flow is incited by disruption of viscosity of the portion of the pile of grain through agitation of the portion of the pile of grain by auger rotation of the auger-based drive.

    Abstract: A robot comprises an auger-based drive system, a memory, and a processor coupled with the memory and configured to control movement of the robot, via the auger-based drive system, relative to grain in a grain bin. The processor is further configured to direct traversal, by the robot, of a landing zone portion of a surface of a pile of the grain during load-in of the grain to disperse broken grain and foreign material away from the landing zone portion. The landing zone portion is located in a center of the grain bin where the grain lands as it is augured into the grain bin during load-in. The dispersal is affected in part by rotation of augers of the auger-based drive system.

    Abstract: An auger assembly for conveying a material includes an auger including a conveyor for transporting the material from a storage bin to a transport vehicle. The auger assembly also includes a power source operatively coupled to the conveyor to operate the conveyor. The auger assembly includes a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The first sensor is engaged to the auger and configured to detect a flow of the material from an outlet of the auger. The second sensor is configured to detect a filling of the material inside the transport vehicle to a desired level. The controller is in communication with the first sensor, the second sensor, the power source and the auger, and is configured to control the power source based on inputs from at least one of the first sensor or the second sensor.

    Abstract: A conveyor system for conveying material may include a conveyor belt, a feeding mechanism for feeding materials to be conveyed onto the conveyor belt, and a belt system in which the conveyor belt is guided. The belt system may include a first belt-shaping device with which the conveyor belt can be shaped into a U shape. Thus the material to be conveyed may be brought from a substantially flat shape into the U shape. A second belt-shaping device of the belt system may shape the conveyor belt downstream of the feeding mechanism in the conveying direction to form a closed tube. The feeding mechanism may include a catching region configured such that material to be conveyed accumulates therein and forms an impact surface onto which the material to be conveyed can be fed.

    Abstract: A belt conveyor with automatic in-line tensioning. A tensioner bar is slidably received into a tensioning slot and guided by a plurality of rails. At least one air spring is positioned between the tensioner frame and the tensioner bar. The first air spring pushes the tensioner bar such that movement of the tensioner bar moves the end roller to affect a tensioning force upon the endless belt. An air pressure gauge can display an air pressure value corresponding to a tension force of the endless belt. A tracking assembly allows tracking of the endless roller independent of the tensioning. A controller can controls the tensioning and release of tensioning based on operational or environmental factors.
