Abstract:
The inner surface of one side section of a frame (1) has the base-end section of a rotation arm (44) of a rotation-biasing means (4) provided so as to be rotatable. A roller (47) is provided on the tip-end section of the rotation arm (44). The roller (47) is pressed against and contacts the rear surface (2a) of a door (2) as a result of the biasing by the rotation-biasing, means (nut illustrated). The rear surface of the door (2) is equipped with a damper means (5). The damper means (5) has a contact member (52) for pressing against and contacting the roller (47) when the door is in the closed position or in a prescribed intermediate position. The contact member (52) minimizes the speed at which the roller (47) moves forward.
Abstract:
A friction based counterbalance mechanism for coupling with a closure panel to assist in opening and closing of the closure panel for at least a portion of a path between a fully closed position and a fully open position of the closure panel, the counterbalance mechanism including: an elongate member positioned on a longitudinal axis extending between the proximal and distal ends of the counterbalance mechanism, the elongate member having a peripheral surface, the elongate member having a proximal end for coupling to one of the closure panel and a body of a vehicle; a travel member having a body and at least one friction member mounted on the body, the travel member positioned on the longitudinal axis for reciprocation there along and for providing contact between the at least one friction member and the peripheral surface, said contact for generating a friction force in a first region along the longitudinal axis and in a second region along the longitudinal axis; and a support member coupled to the travel element at a proximal end and for coupling at a distal end to the other of the closure panel and a body of a vehicle, the support member for guiding said reciprocation. The friction based counterbalance mechanism can be incorporated as part of a biasing strut such as a spring configured strut.
Abstract:
Soft-closing hinge for furniture comprising a movable hinge cup coupled to a door panel, a securing member coupled to a wall panel and a hinge arm configured to couple the hinge cup to the securing member. A damper on the hinge cup acts on the hinge arm at least when the hinge is closed. A spring is disposed in the hinge. One end of the hinge arm is hinged to the hinge cup. A cross section of an end of the spring is non-circular and has a sliding member with a concave chamber disposed thereon. An end of the spring is disposed in the concave chamber. A bottom surface of the sliding member acts on a rotation portion of the hinge arm via elasticity of the spring and moves relative to the rotation portion when the hinge is opened and/or closed to generate an opening or closing force.
Abstract:
An appliance lid hinge assembly has a channel housing including first and second spaced-apart side walls and a transverse face walls, a cavity located between the first and second side walls and a slot having first and second slot portions respectively located in said first and second side walls. The channel housing is pivotally connected to a cam via a rivet or other pivot fastener at a pivot point. A biasing element acts between the housing and the cam in order to control the movement of housing relative to the cam about the pivot point. Alternatively, a damper can be used to control movement of the housing relative to the cam about the pivot point. A snubber subsystem can also be added to provide further damping resistance.
Abstract:
A furniture damper damps a movement of a movably mounted part of a piece of furniture or a movably mounted component of a furniture fitting. The damper includes a piston arranged in a fluid chamber, a damping action being carried out by a relative movement between the fluid chamber and the piston. A sealing device seals the fluid chamber, and the sealing device includes a first abutment element and a second abutment element that is movably mounted in relation to the first abutment element and designed to seal the fluid chamber. A spring is arranged between the first abutment element and the second abutment element, and the spring is compressible by the relative movement of the first abutment element and the second abutment element essentially up to the thickness of the cross-section of the spring.
Abstract:
A furniture hinge including a toggle-type hinge and a line shock absorber arranged transversely to a major axis of the toggle-type hinge. The line shock absorber is inserted into a holder and the holder is attached to the toggle-type hinge. The holder includes a bearing part and a position part, which are fixed to each other by at least one coupling element in the form of an unreleasable connection or a releasable one.
Abstract:
A hydraulic hinge buffer assembly for a door has a fastening device, a buffering device and a clamping device. The fastening device has a holding mount and a pivot block. The buffering device is mounted in the fastening device and has a pivot pin and a piston element. The pivot pin has an abutting face and at least one holding hook. The piston element is mounted between the holding mount and the pivot pin and has a pushing piston. The pushing piston has a pressing face selectively abutting the abutting face and at least one engaging hook axially formed on and protruding from the pressing face and engaging with the at least one holding hook. The clamping device is connected to the buffering device to rotate relative to the fastening device and has two clamping panels.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A sliding door with reversible hand configurations can include a plurality of mounting locations along a top and a bottom edge thereof. The plurality of mounting locations can be configured to allow the sliding door to selectively hang and operate according to multiple orientations in order to satisfy site-specific handedness requirements. In one implementation, the sliding door includes a door frame and mounting hardware for selectively mounting the sliding door to a roller track affixed near the upper portion of a doorway.
