Abstract:
A process capability judging means (11) of the communication device (1) analyzes the subject information and it judges whether it is possible or not to process the information by this communication device so as to present to the user. A destination deciding means (12) decides a destination information processor. And a transferring means (13) transfers the subject information to the terminal (2) in the destination deciding means (12). In the terminal (2) a translating means (23) translates the received information into the form the communication device (1) is able to process and a returning means (24) returns the translated information to the communication device (1).
Abstract:
The image management apparatus, image management program, and image management method are provided for obtaining image and sending it to a communication device or recording it in a recording medium if the image to be obtained has a larger amount of information than a prerecorded image and is closer to the original image. There are provided a recording device for associating and recording an image with the identification and image properties of the image, a sending and receiving device for obtaining an image, the identification and image properties of the image from a communication apparatus through a communication device, an information processing device for reading image properties stored in the recording device based on the identification of the image obtained by the sending and receiving device and comparing them with the obtained image properties, and a sending and receiving device for outputting the obtained image to the communication apparatus if the comparison by the information processing device shows that the obtained image properties have a larger amount of information than that of the recorded image properties.
Abstract:
A method and system for printing full images using a device. The method includes determining print target information according to transmission conditions existing between the device and the image forming device in response to a request sent from the device to the image forming device; transmitting the determined print target information to the image forming device; and printing selected contents from among the data using the transmitted print target information.
Abstract:
A document transmission apparatus reduces troublesome labor of an operator when transmitting document data, inputted from a scanner or the like, by various transmission methods such as electronic mail, facsimile, remote printing and file transfer. An address book containing a receiver and a plurality of transmission methods for transmitting document data to the receiver is generated. Upon transmission instruction, an appropriate transmission method is selected by the receiver, then document data is converted into data of an appropriate data format, and the converted data is transmitted. Further, a notice of transmission indicating that the document data has been transmitted is transmitted to the receiver of the document data by a method different from the transmission method of the document data. Thus, the document data can be reliably delivered to the receiver.
Abstract:
Methods and system for transferring images between devices is disclosed. For example, differently scaled images by a host device may automatically and/or selectively be transferred to a media player for display. In turn, appropriately scaled images may be transferred automatically and/or selectively to another display device for example a TV, camera or printer. The selectivity may occur either at the host level or at the player level.
Abstract:
An image processor has an image scanning unit, a memory, an address specification unit, a scan control unit, and a transmission control unit. The image scanning unit is configured to scan an original image. The memory is configured to store image data scanned by the image scanning unit. The address specification unit is able to specify a plurality of addresses of different protocols as multi-address destination. The scan control unit controls the image data scanned by the image scanning unit. The transmission control unit is configured to generate an image data from an image data stored in the memory, such that the image data has an image quality that is appropriate for the protocol corresponding to each of the addresses specified by the address specification unit, and transmit the image data to each of the addresses.
Abstract:
A network system for sending a scan and/or print job to multiple network destinations based on a single request. In one example, ajob distribution server module receives a scan or print job request from a computer system or a peripheral device, such as a multi-function peripheral (MFP) device. The request may include image data to be sent to multiple network destinations, such as, for example, printers, fax machines, computers, email addresses and the like. The server module formats and sends the data to each of the network destinations, which may process the job at substantially the same time. In certain embodiments, the server module provides the user with a graphical interface for selecting network destinations to be associated with a particular virtual port or virtual printer. Furthermore, embodiments of the system allow for sending of scan jobs directly from the peripheral device.
Abstract:
An information input/output system includes printer and facsimile servers, connected with the Internet, and printer and facsimile apparatus connected with the servers, respectively. A terminal accesses information contents on the Internet and transmits printing request data including at least a contents ID specifying information contents for printing and a print outputting destination ID specifying one printer or facsimile apparatus for printing the information contents for printing. A printing request administration server receives the transmitted printing request data and transmits the printing request data to one of the servers according to the print outputting destination ID. The servers store information as to the printer and the facsimile apparatus, and outputs the information contents for printing to the one of the servers determined according to the print outputting destination ID, after converting the information contents for printing, according to the information corresponding to the one apparatus specified by the print outputting destination ID, such that the information contents for printing can be printed by the one apparatus.
Abstract:
In a case where a display screen of a transmission originator, including image data such as photographs, is displayed remotely on a device of a transmission destination, compressed image data of the image portion such as photographs on the display screen which is stored in a storage unit of the transmission originator is transmitted to the transmission destination device so that the image of the photograph portion can be displayed remotely on the screen of the transmission destination device with high image quality.
