摘要： A clutch includes an outer ring, a driving-side rotator, a driven-side rotator and rolling elements. Each rolling element is located between an inner circumferential surface of the ring and a corresponding control surface of the driven-side rotator and has a diameter shorter than a distance between a circumferential center portion of the control surface and the inner circumferential surface of the ring but longer than a distance between each of opposing circumferential end portions of the control surface and the inner circumferential surface of the ring. The center portion is located radially outward of a straight line that connects the end portions. Each intermediate portion positioned between the center portion and the end portion is arcuately bulged beyond a straight line that connects the center portion and the end portion.

摘要： A pre-tensioner of a seat belt device capable of securely and rapidly transmitting torque between a driven shaft and a rotational ring when the pre-tensioner is activated. The driven shaft projecting from a reel for retracting a seat belt is inserted into a housing and the rotational ring is positioned to surround a gear of the driven shaft. The rotational ring is provided with five guide faces in the inner surface thereof and pins are inserted into pocket portions of the rotational ring. Each pin is held at the both ends by an annular portion of a body and a cover. Stepped portions are formed along peripheries of both ends of each guide face to form spaces.

摘要： An automatic spindle engager for a part-time axle of a four-wheel drive motor vehicle includes a wheel spindle that carries a wheel, an outer drive member, inner drive member drivably connected to an engine through an axleshaft, a set of drive rollers and clutch surfaces for drivably connecting the outer member and inner member, a set of spring loaded trigger rollers and inclined clutch surfaces on which the rollers are held, and a retainer movable with the changing position of the trigger rollers for transmitting movement of the trigger rollers to the set of drive rollers. Pairs of inclined clutch surfaces form detents in which the drive rollers are located when no torque is transmitted through the mechanism. The drive rollers move on their inclined clutch surfaces in accordance with movement of the retainer. This drivably connects a road wheel and the driven axle only when torque is transmitted in either direction from the engine to the wheels and from the wheels to the engine.

摘要： A novel auger clutch mechanism which may be used with washer agitators and augers. More particularly this mechanism comprises an outer clutch housing and a clutch, wherein the clutch is positioned within the housing. The clutch has a number of outwardly extending ligaments which are flexible enough to be rolled up. When rolled up, the ligaments restrict movement in one direction, yet allow the clutch to move freely in the opposite direction.

摘要： An over-running clutch has a tube-like clutch outer 23 formed integrally with a boss portion 21 which is helically spline-engaged with an output shaft 1. The clutch outer is slightly diverged toward its open end due to cementation quenching, and has a plurality of grooves formed circumferentially around its inner peripheral surface at an equal pitch. Each of the grooves has a wedge-like shape which gradually decreases around the circumference. A clutch inner 24 accommodated inside the clutch outer is formed such that an axial tilting of its outer peripheral surface is substantially equal to that of the inner peripheral surface of the clutch outer. Rollers are accommodated in each of the wedge-like spaces formed between the grooves and the outer peripheral surface of the clutch inner so as to be circumferentially movable.

摘要： A hydraulic transformer clutch enables controlled power transfer from an outer race to an output shaft. The outer race is driven by a rolling element and generates spin against its own axis. The rolling element is in contact with a rotating lever, which can rotate against a pin. A boss keeps the rolling element in contact with the rotating lever. The rotating lever is actuated by a piston via a contact surface. During the actuation process, the rotating lever wedges the rolling element, creating a rigid connection between the outer race and the output shaft. This connection, and resulting engagement of the outer race and the output shaft, is maintained as long as the piston is actuated.

摘要： A clutch assembly for driveline components is provided. The ball ramp having first and second ball ramp members and at least one ball is provided. The first ball ramp member of the ball ramp is in operational communication with an input member to the clutch assembly. A first set of plates of a clutch pack are in operational communication with the input member and a second set of plates of the clutch pack are in operational communication with an output member. A sprag clutch assembly that is operationally coupled to the second ball ramp member of the ball ramp, only allows the second ball ramp member of the ball ramp to rotate in first direction. A thrust bearing that is in operational communication with the second ball ramp member of the ball ramp selectively disengages the clutch pack when the output member rotates in a second direction.
