Abstract: The present invention provides a production method for a closed-loop cable. The method includes the steps of providing a cable including a core and metal strands helically wound around the core, connecting two ends of the cable in splice areas via splice knots formed by ends of each metal strand, inserting the metal strand ends inside the cable after locally removing the core and subsequently overmolding each splice area using a polymer.

Abstract: A spot welded joint of at least two steel sheets is provided. At least one of the steel sheets presents yield strength above or equal to 600 MPa, an ultimate tensile strength above or equal to 1000 MPa, uniform elongation above or equal to 15%. The base metal chemical composition includes 0.05≤C≤0.21%, 4.0≤Mn≤7.0%, 0.5≤Al≤3.5%, Si≤2.0%, Ti≤0.2%, V≤0.2%, Nb≤0.2%, P≤0.025%, B≤0.0035%, and the spot welded joint contains a molten zone microstructure containing more than 0.5% of Al and containing a surface fraction of segregated areas lower than 1%, said segregated areas being zones larger than 20 μm2 and containing more than the steel nominal phosphorus content.

Abstract: An air nozzle for guiding a cut steel strip at the exit from a shearing device for a moving steel sheet is provided. The nozzle is made in one piece and extends along a main plane perpendicular to the direction of movement of the steel strip. The air nozzle includes an air inlet channel with a free end connected to a compressed air generator and an opposite end divided at a deflection junction into a first and a second air discharge channel facing each other on either side of the main plane. The free end of the first air discharge channel is located close to the exit and includes a plurality of first air discharge orifices orientated towards the second air discharge channel. The free end of the second air discharge channel includes a plurality of second air discharge orifices orientated either in the opposite direction to the first air discharge channel or parallel to the main plane so none of the first and second air discharge orifices are orientated in the opposite direction to the direction of movement of the steel sheet.

Abstract: A drill bit for improving performance of a drilling machine is provided. The drill bit includes a drill bit body with a rear end adapted to be connected to a drilling machine, and a leading end with a flat face perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (X-X) of the drill bit body. The drill bit body includes a first tapered portion with diameters increasing from the flat face of the leading end to a maximum diameter (Dmax), a second tapered portion with diameters decreasing from the maximum diameter (Dmax) to the rear end of the drill body, at least three partly-circular recesses formed in the drill bit body thus delimitating as many tapered drilling faces, each of them extending from the flat face of the leading end to the maximum diameter (Dmax). The flat face and the tapered drilling faces have a plurality of protruding teeth and the teeth are cylindrical and have a longitudinal axis (Y-Y) forming an angle with the face supporting the teeth which is less than or equal to 90°.

Abstract: A method for the manufacture of a hardened part coated with a phosphatable coating is provided. The method includes providing a steel sheet pre-coated with a metallic coating including from 4.0 to 20.0% by weight of zinc, from 1.0 to 3.5% by weight of silicon, optionally from 1.0 to 4.0% by weight of magnesium, and optionally additional elements chosen from Pb, Ni, Zr, or Hf, the content by weight of each additional element being less than 0.3% by weight, the balance being aluminum and unavoidable impurities and residuals elements. The steel sheet is cut to obtain a blank, the blank is thermally treated at a temperature between 840 and 950° C. to obtain a fully austenitic microstructure in the steel, the blank is transferred into a press tool and hot-formed to obtain a part. The part is cooled to obtain a martensitic or martensitic-bainitic microstructure or made of at least 75% of equiaxed ferrite, from 5 to 20% of martensite and bainite in amount less than or equal to 10%.
