Abstract: A method in an On-Demand Autonomy system includes: monitoring for a trip change request from a plurality of platoon vehicles including a first leader vehicle (Lv) and a follower vehicle (Fv). When a trip termination request is received from a platoon vehicle, the method includes broadcasting information regarding the request to the other platoon vehicles, and monitoring for an acknowledgement of the request. When the trip termination request originated from the first Lv, the method includes electing a new Lv, computing a rendezvous point for the new Lv and the Fv, and signaling the Fv and new Lv regarding the rendezvous point. When a trip modification request is received from the Fv, the method includes broadcasting information regarding the request to the first Lv, electing a new Lv, computing a rendezvous point for the new Lv and the Fv, and signaling the Fv and new Lv regarding the rendezvous point.

Abstract: A telematics system for a mobile UE includes a telematics controller that is configured to communicate via a plurality of communication channels. The telematics controller determines, for each of the communication channels, a parameter related to data throughput and energy consumption to effect an uplink communication between the telematics controller and a second device when the mobile UE is in a low-power operating mode. The parameter related to data throughput and energy consumption to effect the uplink communication is compared with a threshold. One of the communication channels is selected based upon the parameter related to data throughput and energy consumption to effect the uplink communication. The telematics controller communicates with the second device via the one of the plurality of communication channels when the mobile UE is in the low-power operating mode.

Abstract: A navigation system for a vehicle that highlights a target location that is part of a destination includes a spotlight device that generates a beam of infrared light to create an infrared spotlight, an infrared camera that captures infrared image data, a display, and one or more controllers in electronic communication with the spotlight device, the infrared camera, and the display. In response to determining the vehicle is approaching the destination, the one or more controllers calculate a target angle indicating where the spotlight device directs the beam of infrared light to create the infrared spotlight upon the target location. The one or more controllers receive the infrared image data captured by the one or more infrared cameras of the target location of the destination and instructs the display to show the infrared image data captured by the one or more infrared cameras.

The pair of adjustable hinges are configured to selectively retain the end gate in one of the first intermediate position and the fully open position.

Abstract: A system includes an occupant detection module configured to identify an occupied state when an occupant is seated on a vehicle seat and an unoccupied state when the vehicle seat is free from an occupant. The system also includes a buckle sensor configured to identify a time of buckling when a latch plate is initially secured to a buckle. A seatbelt wear condition module is configured to identify the occupied state at the time of buckling and after buckling regardless of whether the occupant detection module detects the occupied state at the time of buckling and after buckling or the unoccupied state at the time of buckling and after buckling based on the occupant detection module identifying the occupied state within a predetermined timeframe prior to the time of buckling and disregarding any unoccupied state produced from the occupant detection module while the seatbelt remains buckled.

Additionally, the segmented magnet assembly includes magnetic poles that are aligned in radial, axial, or circumferential directions.
