Abstract:
A fluid fillable structure has a reservoir body comprising a top surface and at least one fluid fill port at a first end. There is a first connector on the top surface of the reservoir body adjacent to the first end and a second connector spaced from the first end, the first end of the reservoir body being folded back onto the reservoir body and secured by releasably securing the first connector to the second connector such that the at least one fluid fill port remains open.
Abstract:
A reusable diaper may include an inner layer to wick moisture and an outer layer substantially impervious to liquids. A waist portion may include a corner region for securing the diaper in a desired position. The corner region may be resiliently stretchable and substantially impervious to liquids, and may include first and second layers coupled to the respective inner and outer layers. The coupled first layer and inner layer define a first seam allowance, and the coupled second layer and outer layer define a second seam allowance. The first and second seam allowances may be positioned within the corner region to help inhibit wicking of liquid through the seam allowances into the corner region. And a fluid-resistant region may be provided to help resist wicking of moisture through the inner layer past the fluid-resistant region.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a drug delivery device for setting and dispensing of a dose of a medicament is presented comprising a housing to accommodate a cartridge filled with the medicament, an electrically operated drive mechanism to be operably engaged with the cartridge to expel a predefined dose of the medicament from the cartridge, and at least one dose element displaceably arranged relative to the housing to set and/or to dispense the dose of the medicament, wherein the dose element and the drive mechanism are mechanically decoupled from each other.
Abstract:
A flexible biomedical surface electrode comprises an insulating substrate (10), a conductive electrode layer (12) screen-printed on the substrate, and an insulating masking layer (14) on the electrode layer. The masking layer is configured to expose selected regions (16) of the electrode layer. An electrically conductive adhesive gel layer (18) on the masking layer makes electrical contact with the exposed regions of the electrode layer.
Abstract:
A method, mobile device and activation server for wirelessly activating a mobile communication device at an activation server sends an activation summary to the mobile communication device in response to receiving a request for activation. The activation summary provides notification of a number of services that can be activated on the mobile communication device. Responsive to receiving a selection of at least one of the services, the method downloads at least one of configuration information and routing information for the selected service to the mobile communication device.
Abstract:
A drug reservoir comprises of a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the housing is configured to hold a medicament; and a removable feature disposed on at least one of the proximal end and the distal end, wherein the removable feature covers at least in part one of the proximal end and the distal end.
Abstract:
A user interface on a display enables user perception of information regarding a communications session that leverages an instant messaging platform. The user interface includes an instant messaging application user interface and one or more tear-off elements corresponding to ongoing instant messaging communications sessions. Each tear-off element is configured to enable perception and selection by a user of a corresponding instant messaging communications session. Also, each tear-off element is configured to be independently visually separated from other elements of the instant messaging application user interface and maintained as a separate entity on the instant messaging application user interface.
Abstract:
A method for determining the laundry load size according to one embodiment of the invention in an automatic clothes washer comprising supplying water to a reference water level to define a first amount of water, supplying water from the reference water level to a second water level above the reference water level and sufficient to submerge the laundry load to define a second amount of water, and determining a load size for the laundry load based on the second amount of water such that errors associated with the first amount of water are not considered in the load size determination based on the second amount of water.
Abstract:
An optical fiber comprising: (I) a germania doped central core region having outer radius r1 and (II) a maximum relative refractive index Δ1max and a cladding region including (i) a first inner cladding region having an outer radius r2>5 microns and refractive index Δ2; (ii) a and a second inner cladding region having an outer radius r3>9 microns and comprising refractive index Δ3; and (iii) an outer cladding region surrounding the inner cladding region and comprising refractive index Δ4, wherein Δ1max>Δ4, Δ2>Δ3, and wherein 0.01%≦Δ4−Δ3≦0.09%, said fiber exhibits a 22 m cable cutoff less than or equal to 1260 nm, and 0.25≦r1/r2≦0.85.
Abstract:
An electronic system includes multiple data access components (DACs), a semaphores module, and a memory protection unit (MPU). Any of the DACs may issue an access request, which requests access to a shared system resource. A region descriptor associated with the shared system resource specifies default access permissions for the DACs. The semaphores module implements a semaphore for the shared system resource, and produces semaphore signals indicating which one, if any, of the DACs has locked the semaphore for the shared system resource. More particularly, an access evaluation circuit of the MPU receives the default access permissions and the semaphore signals. When the semaphore is properly enabled, as indicated in the region descriptor, the access evaluation circuit produces effective access permissions for the DACs by potentially altering the default access permissions based on the semaphore signals. The MPU grants or denies the access request based on the effective access permissions.
