    Abstract: A circulating fluidized bed boiler is described, comprising a furnace, a loopseal, and a loopseal heat exchanger arranged in the loopseal. The loopseal heat exchanger comprises walls limiting an interior of the loopseal heat exchanger, a first particle outlet for letting out particulate material from the loopseal heat exchanger, an inlet for receiving bed material, heat exchanger tubes arranged in the interior of the loopseal heat exchanger, and a first ash removal channel configured to let out ash from the loopseal heat exchanger. An ash cooler is configured to receive ash from the first ash removal channel. In the loopseal heat exchanger the first ash removal channel is arranged at a lower level than the first particle outlet.

    Abstract: In a turn-up method for a reel-up for reeling of fiber webs, a web travelling in direction (S) is cut by two water jet nozzles moving in a transverse direction in relation to the web travelling direction (S). Two cuts (C1, C2) are formed by two water jet nozzles starting from the edges of the web (W) and moving to the web center where the cuts (C1, C2) cross or meet forming a V-shaped tail end (V1). After the cuts the movement of the water jet nozzles is stopped and after the return movement of the water jet nozzles, cutting is started again from the center toward the edges so that the web W is cut by two cuts (C3, C4) and a substantially V-shaped beginning end (V2) to the web W is formed and between the cuts (C1, C2) for the tail end (V1) and the cuts (C3, C4) for the beginning end (V2) there is formed one web reject part (R) with two substantially V-shaped cuts. A turn-up device for a reel-up for reeling of fiber webs has two water jet nozzles, in which the cutting by the water jet nozzles (10,12) may be stopped between cutting of a tail end (V1) and cutting of a beginning end (V2) for a selected time for forming only, wherein there is one reject part (R) in the turn-up and the cross-direction travel distance (L1, L2) of each nozzle is substantially shorter than the width (L) of the web (W).

    Abstract: A blade element (12) for a refiner (10, 11) for refining fibrous material has an inner edge (13) and an outer edge (14) and first blade bars (18) and first blade grooves (19) therebetween, the first blade bars and the first blade grooves extending toward the outer edge of the blade element. At top surfaces of the first blade bars there are second blade bars (20) and second blade grooves (21) therebetween. At least some of the second blade bars (20) lying on an outer end portion (12b) of the blade element (12) have a width which is larger than a width of second blade bars (20) lying on an inner end portion (12a) of the blade element (12) and/or is increasing in direction toward the outer edge (14) of the blade element (12).

    Abstract: A reel-up for reeling of a fiber web (W) around a reel spool (15B) to form a parent roll (20B; 20A) by use of a reeling nip (N) between a reeling cylinder (10) of the reel-up and the parent roll (20B) under reeling, has a primary reeling position and a secondary reeling position. The reel-up (10) has the reeling cylinder (10), substantially horizontal guides (14) and for each end of the reel spool (15A; 15B), loading arms (12,13; 16,17) and carriages (18) and the primary reeling position is fixed.

    Abstract: The disclosed solution relates to recovering thermal energy from the operation of a dissolver of a chemical recovery boiler used in pulp manufacturing. According to the solution, a primary fluid circuit conveys green liquor from the dissolver to an external process such as causticizing and solvent such as weak white liquor back to the dissolver, and from this circuit solvent is diverted into a secondary fluid passageway comprising a heat exchanger which cools the solvent by recovering heat from it and transfers the heat to a heat-consuming process. After heat recovery, solvent may be used for further processes before it is at least partly conveyed back to the dissolver.
