摘要: A modified hybrid Hall effect device is provided which is the combination of a conventional Hall effect device and a second Hall effect device having a Hall plate coupled to a ferromagnetic layer. The hybrid Hall effect device can be used to determine the independent magnetic field vector components comprising a vector magnetic field, such as for determining the x and the z components of a magnetic field, or for measuring the total magnitude of a vector magnetic field of any orientation. The modified Hall Effect device can be adapted for use as a magnetic field sensor for the detection of macroscopic objects that have associated magnetic fields, or for microscopic objects that have been tagged by microscopic magnetic particles. In one specific form, a plurality of hybrid Hall devices are electrically connected together to form an array in which a plurality of rows of hybrid Hall devices are electrically coupled to each other along a current axis, and the array is used for the detection of microscopic objects.

摘要: A system and method for creating, deleting, and maintaining logical networks based on the needs of a network. Logical networks are created on a physical network and can be encrypted to further isolate the logical networks. Logical network addresses are maintained for network nodes and aged based on responses from network nodes. Network nodes can be detected and added to additional logical networks based on network or users needs. Network nodes can be added or removed on a as needs basis. Additionally, logical networks can be removed based on system needs.

摘要: A constant velocity joint has an outer part, an inner part, a plurality of torque transmitting balls, and a cage having windows for retaining the balls in the ball tracks of the outer and inner parts. The balls are retained in a constant velocity plane by the cage and guided by corresponding pairs of outer and inner ball tracks. The cage has an outer spherical face guided in contact by an inner bore of the outer part and inner concave face rotatably guided in contact by the convex face of the inner part. The outer part having a normal axial range, an extended axial range, and at least one energy absorption surfaces located in the extended axial range. Wherein the energy absorption surface interferes with at least one of the torque transmitting balls when the joint is operated beyond said normal axial range.
