Abstract:
In a multicellular cooperative radio communications method, the terminals estimate and communicate to all the access points of a cooperating cluster of access points information on the transmission channels between them and each access point of the cluster. The access points include homologous processor for scheduling the servicing of the terminals and operating in accordance with a particular criterion common to all the access points. Finally, the servicing of the terminals is effected jointly by said access points, in an order determined by the processor, using transmission parameters on the basis of the information on the transmission channels transmitted by the terminals.
Abstract:
A method is provided for dynamically controlling the focus of a signal pre-equalized by time reversal of an estimated propagation channel between a source antenna of a source communicating entity and a destination antenna of a destination communicating entity at a current instant, said method comprising steps for evaluation by the destination communicating entity of a relative focus quality of the pre-equalized signal sent by the source antenna and received by the destination antenna, compared to a quality at a focal point, and if the evaluated relative focus quality does not satisfy a predetermined criterion, for request, by the destination communicating entity, to modify the focus addressed to the source communicating entity for a subsequent instant.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for invoking at least one service application server (AS) during a communication between an originating user agent (O_UA) and end user agent (T_UA). It consists at least in opening (A) two separate dialogues, between a service selecting function (SIF) and, respectively, the originating agent (O_UA) and the end agent (T_UA). The function (SIF) is substituted to the user agent (T_UA) in its dialogue with the user agent (O_UA) and to the user agent (O_UA) in its dialogue with the user agent (T_UA). The messages from the user agents during the two opened dialogues are stored (B) and at least one service conditional triggering criterion on the two dialogues is verified (C). If the triggering criterion is verified, at least part of the messages is restored (D) to the server so as to trigger the invocation thereof. The invention is useful for invoking application servers in a SIP network.
Abstract:
The inventive method consists in determining a flow (F) to which belongs each new incoming packet (P), when said flow (F) is on a list of active flows, in introducing said packet into a fair share scheduling mechanism (6), when said flow (F) is absent from the list of active flows, in obtaining an estimation of the quantity of incoming data items (I.Bytes) with respect to said flow over a reference time period, in comparing said estimation with a maximum value (MaxBytes), wherein the reference time period or the maximum value are determined according to a fair share data rate, in adding said flow to the list of active flows and in introducing the packet (P) into the fair share scheduling mechanism (6), if said estimation exceeds the maximum value, and in introducing the packet (P) into the end of a priority queue (5), in the alternative case.
Abstract:
A routing method in an ad hoc network between a source node (S) and a destination node (M) to guarantee a required quality of service level between the source node and the destination node. The source node (S) sends a route request to the network, request containing required quality of service level and an initial value of cost function (Fg). A node receiving a route request sent by a neighbor node then refuses said request if node is not able to guarantee said required quality of service level, and sends over the network a route request containing required quality of service level and a value of cost function combining a value of the cost function received from a previous neighbor node and a value of The cost function calculated on a connection with a neighbor node. The destination node (M) sends a route response step by step to the source node (S) containing the cumulative value of the cost function (Fg) corresponding to a route formed by successive connections between the source node (S) and the destination node (M). The source node chooses the route between the source node (S) and the destination node (M) having the best cumulative cost function.
Abstract:
A method and system are provided for locally controlling the distribution of an application at an access point to a shared wireless network and of an application to a mobile node which is located using the address thereof. According to the present method and system, for the access point, the data rate per type of application is measured, the charge rate of the access point per type of application is calculated from the access point and the distribution of a novel application at said access point is either authorized or refused according to the internal priority rules associated with each application following any request for the distribution of said novel application. The present method and system are suitable for the management of access points to an IEEE P802.11-type shared wireless network.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the invention relates to a method for sending a signal formed by successive vectors each comprising N symbols to be sent, and implementing at least two transmitter antennas. A distinct sub-matrix is associated with each of said antennas, said sub-matrices being obtained by subdivision of a unitary square matrix, and each of said antennas sends sub-vectors, obtained by subdivision of said vectors, respectively multiplied by said sub-matrices so as to form, as seen from a receiver, a single combined signal representing the multiplication of said vectors by said unitary matrix.
Abstract:
The present system relates to an access node for granting a telecommunication device access to a content provider over a telecommunication network, the content being in the form of a webpage comprising one or more ad spaces for displaying banners ads uploaded from banner ad providers when said webpage is displayed on said telecommunication device, the access node being operable to forward a request for a first webpage sent by the telecom-munication device to the content provider, receive the first webpage from the content provider, said first webpage comprising one or more ad spaces for banner ad(s), verify that at least one first ad space has been tagged by the content provider with an indication identifiable by the access node, modify the first webpage to include in the first ad space a banner ad selected by the access node, when the first ad space is tagged with such an identifiable indication, forward the modified first webpage for subsequent display of said first webpage on the telecommunication device, thereby granting said telecommunication device access to the content provider.
Abstract:
A method is provided for determining a point-to-multipoint tree connecting a root node to a plurality of leaf nodes (some nodes in different domains) used by a path calculation entity associated with a current domain. The method comprises receiving from at least one other path calculation entity associated with a downstream domain at least one message including a first set of identifiers including at least one identifier of a bunch of branches comprising at least one branch and a respective cost associated with said bunch, the bunch comprising at least one branch enabling connection to leaf nodes in downstream domains, and determining at least one new bunch of branches comprising at least one branch as a function of said at least one first set received, said new bunch of branches having a minimum cost and making it possible also to contact the leaf nodes of the current domain.
Abstract:
The device includes, in a housing, an actuator electrically connected to a battery for charging a portable item such as a mobile terminal. For a rotating actuator comprising a first member submitted to an oscillatory motion, for example a walker carrying the housing, and a second member making up at least partially a mass part, the mass part is able to oscillate around the axle of the armature with respect to the first member. A servo control system can control the actuator sometimes as a motor supplied by the battery or by allowing the mass part to move freely, sometimes as a generator charging the battery, by slaving the motion speed of the mass part to the acceleration of the oscillatory motion of the first member. This enables to recover as much electric power as possible from the walker.
