摘要: A method in a network controller of a control plane in a software defined network (SDN) coupled to a plurality of network elements (NEs) of a data plane in the SDN is described. The method includes at least sending a first control message to an ingress NE of the plurality of NEs to initiate a first test session; sending a second control message to an egress NE of the plurality of NEs to initiate a second test session; sending the test message to the ingress NE to cause the ingress NE to transmit the outgoing message from the ingress NE; receiving the first reply message from the ingress NE; receiving the second reply message from the egress NE; and calculating an indication of a delay between the ingress NE and the egress NE.

摘要: Exemplary methods for allocating multiple local sub-blocks (LsBs) of segment identifiers (IDs) include allocating a first set of LsBs, each LsB associated with a start index and a range, wherein the start index indicates a starting SID of a corresponding LsB and the range indicates a total number of SIDs included in the corresponding LsB, each LsB identified by a sub-block number. In one embodiment, the methods include mapping a plurality of segment routing global block (SRGB) indexes to a plurality of corresponding SIDs of the first set of LsBs, the mapping performed based on the SRGB indexes, start indexes of each LsB, and ranges of SIDs of each LsB. In one embodiment, the methods include advertising the first set of LsBs by transmitting a first advertisement message that includes the start indexes, ranges of SIDs, and sub-block numbers of all LsBs of the first set of LsBs.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods, a system and a module for operating a power converter module. The power converter module comprises a voltage converter, an output circuitry, and a processing circuitry operable for controlling the voltage converter. One method comprises transmitting a first status signal representing operating parameters of the voltage converter to the processing circuitry. Determining whether the first status signal of the voltage converter is acceptable. The method also comprises transmitting a second status signal representing the operating parameters of the output circuitry to the processing circuitry. The method also comprises determining if the second status signal is above a predetermined threshold value. When the second status signal is above said predetermined threshold value and the status of the voltage converter is acceptable, entering a peak output mode operating the voltage converter at maximum power dissipation.

摘要: A method in a configuration server for configuring a communication system comprises configuring a plurality of nodes in a first cluster, and configuring a plurality of nodes in at least a second cluster, such that the configuration server acts as a common configuration server for at least first and second clusters. A method in a node associated with a cluster comprises determining a configuration service address relating to a common configuration server that is adapted to configure the cluster associated with the node and at least one other cluster, sending a request for configuration information to the common configuration server, and receiving configuration information from the common configuration server.

摘要: A method is implemented by a network device in a network implementing penultimate hop popping (PHP) for Internet Protocol (IP)/Multi-Protocol Label Swapping (MPLS). The network has a plurality of nodes. The method establishes a bi-directional forwarding detection (BFD) session between an active node and a passive node of an MPLS label switched path (LSP) without an out of band bootstrapping process. In this method the network device is the passive node. The passive node generates a My Discriminator for the passive node, where the Your Discriminator is empty and the source label and My Discriminator are known to the passive node. The passive node sends further BFD control packets to the active node that include the generated My discriminator for the passive node.

摘要: A method for determining required routes through an Ether based network associated with VLANs by determining a set of spanning trees. The set of spanning trees is determined to provide a number of routes for consideration. Each spanning tree comprising a plurality of links, sorts the VLANs into an order based on one or more VLAN criteria for the network topology, and maps the sorted VLANs onto the set of spanning trees in an order to optimise one or more characteristics relating to the combination of spanning tree and VLAN to determine an optimised VLAN tree mapping for each set of spanning trees for each route. A best primary tree for each route is selected. Possible failures for each link in the best primary tree for each route are analyzed to derive for a backup tree optimised to determine one or more best backup trees in the event of a possible failure.
