Abstract:
A filter assembly includes a head, a filter housing which can be connected to the head, and a filter element which can be received in the filter housing. The filter element includes a tubular wall provided with a filtration medium; a first end part provided at a first axial end of the filter element; and a second end part provided at a second axial end of the filter element. The second end part of the filter element is provided with a either a protrusion or an undercut opening, on the one hand, and the second end of the housing is provided with either an undercut opening or a protrusion, on the other hand. A side of the protrusion or opening is provided with a sloping face which slopes at a slope with respect to the axial direction of the filter element.
Abstract:
An air cleaner having a housing body and a removable cover and a filter element, in which the cover and the filter element rotationally interfere with each other by engagement between an inside surface of the cover and an outer radial periphery of the filter element. A filter element includes a pair of end caps, filter media, and an outer wall on the end cap circumscribing the filter media, in which the outer wall is non-circular. A method of installing a filter element into a housing includes orienting a cover over an element and a housing body by engaging an inside surface of the cover and an outer radial periphery of the filter element to rotationally interfere with each other.
Abstract:
A filter assembly for fluid filtration having a push-activated lock and release mechanism. A push filter design activates a floating key lock upon insertion and extraction, where the filter key may be used simultaneously as a lock and as an identifier for particular filter attributes. The filter base may be situated inline, and in fluid communication, with influent and effluent piping, such as within a refrigerator. The filter housing assembly may be attached to, and removed from, the filter base by a push-actuated release. Upon insertion, the filter key shifts the filter lock longitudinally to receive interlocking segments. Upon extraction, the same axial push shifts the filter lock further to align the interlocking fingers within gaps that allow for easy extraction. The specific key lock design allows a user to identify and match certain filter configurations received by the mechanical support, and reject other filter configurations.
Abstract:
A filter arrangement is provided, as well as methods of assembly and use. Advantageous features, relating to a preferred filter cartridge and a preferred slide arrangement, are provided. A filter cartridge is provided that includes a plurality of projections spaced from one another around a central axis. Also, a liquid filter assembly arrangement is provided that includes a plate arrangement having a central liquid flow channel, the central liquid flow channel including a cartridge positioning projection arrangement therein, comprising at least one projection extending radially toward a central axis.
Abstract:
Liquid filter arrangements are described and shown. The arrangements generally include a filter head, a seal adaptor, and a filter member comprising a shell enclosing a cartridge. Unique features for interface between the filter cartridge and the filter head are provided. Also provided are unique filter head features and cartridge features.
Abstract:
The disclosure describes end cap assemblies adapted for interconnecting filtration elements in end-to-end relationship and including means for selectively preventing relative rotation between adjacent end caps once engaged.

Abstract:
Fluid filter elements and assemblies are used to separate contaminants from a fluid, such as oil or fuel, prior to reaching an engine. Fluid filter assemblies may comprise a housing, a filter element, and a filter head. The filter element may be disposed within the filter housing and enclosed by the filter head. Fluid enters the housing and passes through the filter element. The fluid may then exit the assembly. A connector may be used to connect the filter element to the filter head to ensure proper installation and simplify removal of a fouled filter element. The connector permits removable coupling of the filter element to the filter head and resists unintentional disengagement to securely couple the filter element to the filter head.
Abstract:
One embodiment is a unique replaceable filter element. Further embodiments, forms, objects, features, advantages, aspects, and benefits shall become apparent from the following description and drawings.
