    摘要: A recording apparatus includes a recording unit configured to record moving image data onto a plurality of recording media as a file, a detection unit configured to detect a recording error while the moving image data is being recorded onto the recording media, a control unit configured to control the recording unit according to an output of the detection unit, and when the moving image data is simultaneously recorded onto the recording media, if a recording error is detected, the control unit controls the recording unit such that the recording of the data onto the one recording medium is stopped while the recording onto another recording media is continued, and if a new file is generated in another recording media after recording of the moving image data onto the one recording medium is stopped, a new file is generated in the one recording medium and the recording is resumed.

    摘要: A system and method for evaluating a video signal comprising a plurality of video frames. In the plurality video frames, the number of pixels changed from one frame to the next are analysed and each frame is identified as being a repeat if a set proportion of the pixels present in the current frame match those present in the previous frame. The resultant pattern of repeat frames in the video signal is recorded. The resultant pattern is then scanned to determine whether or not a given repeat frame is part of a temporally repetitive pattern and those repeat frames not determined to be part of the temporally repetitive pattern are identified. As result of the above, video quality assessment is able to treat these two types of temporal artefact separately so as to distinguish between the almost invisible regular frame loss and the visually disturbing irregular frame loss.

    摘要: A media archive comprising a plurality of media resources associated with events that occurred during a time interval are processed to synchronize the media resources. Sequences of patterns are identified in each media resource of the media archive. Elements of the sequences associated with different media resources are correlated such that a set of correlated elements is associated with the same event that occurred in the given time interval. The synchronization information of the processed media resources is represented in a flexible and extensible data format. The synchronization information is used for correction of errors occurring in the media resources of a media archive, for enhanced synchronous playback of the archive resources, and for unified access to, and modification of, the archive resources.
