Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure disclose a multi-link communication method and a related apparatus. In a scenario in which simultaneous transmission and reception over a plurality of links is not supported, a multi-link device first sends a first physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) over a first link, and then sends a second PPDU over a second link through channel contention, where an end time of the second PPDU is not later than an end time of the first PPDU. The method not only ensures fairness of multi-link access, but also can reduce an idle rate of the plurality of links.

Abstract: Example methods and apparatus for implementing collision detection in data transmission are described. One example method includes sending a data packet including collision detection information to a receive end, where the collision detection information is used by the receive end to perform collision detection on the data packet. Abstract: A link error recovery method applied to a transmitter MLD is provided. Links between the transmitter MLD and a receiver MLD include a first link and a second link, and one of the transmitter MLD and the receiver MLD has an STR capability while the other does not have the STR capability. The method includes: determining that transmission of a first PPDU on the first link fails; and transmitting a second PPDU to the receiver MLD at a first moment by using the first link, the second PPDU being used to retransmit an error part in the first PPDU. The first moment is a moment at which the transmitter MLD obtains transmission status information of the second link. Alternatively, the first moment is a moment for transmitting a next PPDU on the first link if the first PPDU is normally transmitted.
