    Abstract: A reference signal transmission method in a downlink MIMO system is disclosed. The downlink MIMO system supports a first UE supporting N transmission antennas among a total of M transmission antennas (where M>N) and a second UE supporting the M transmission antennas. The method includes transmitting, by a base station (BS), subframe-associated information which designates a first subframe in which data for the first UE and the second UE is transmitted and a second subframe in which data only for the second UE can be transmitted within a radio frame having a plurality of subframes, and transmitting the first subframe and the second subframe. Reference signals corresponding to antenna ports ‘0’ to ‘N−1’ of the N antennas are mapped to the first subframe, and reference signals corresponding to antenna ports ‘0’ to ‘M−1’ of the M antennas are mapped to the second subframe.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating a nanowire memory device, and a system of controlling nanowire formation used in the same method are provided. In the method of fabricating a nanowire memory device which includes a substrate; an electrode formed on the substrate and insulated from the substrate; and a nanowire having its one end connected with the electrode and formed at a given length, the method comprises: forming an electrode and a dummy electrode to be paired with the electrode on the substrate; forming the nanowire between the electrode and the dummy electrode while measuring a current flowing between the electrode and the dummy electrode, and cutting power applied between the electrode and the dummy electrode when the current measured is a given value; and removing the dummy electrode.

    Abstract: A method for mapping a physical hybrid automatic repeat request indicator channel (PHICH) is described. The method for mapping a PHICH includes determining an index of a resource element group transmitting a repetitive pattern of the PHICH, according to a ratio of the number of available resource element groups in a symbol in which the PHICH is transmitted and the number of available resource element groups in a first or second OFDM symbol, and mapping the PHICH to the symbol according to the determined index. In transmitting the PHICH, since efficient mapping is performed considering available resource elements varying with OFDM symbols, repetition of the PHICH does not generate interference between neighbor cell IDs and performance is improved.
