Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for receiving reference radio frequency (RF) signals for positioning estimation. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a network node, multiple resource sets for tracking (TRSs). Each TRS comprises a plurality of reference signal resources. The multiple TRSs are signals from a same antenna port or are quasi-co-located signals. The UE processes the multiple TRSs to determine positioning-related quantity(ies). The UE can estimate its position based on the positioning-related quantity(ies) and/or send the positioning-related quantity(ies) to the network.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to determining a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state for receiving a multi-transmission point (TRP) communication. A receiving device receives a configuration message indicating a lowest control resource set identifier (CORESET ID) for receiving one or more downlink control information (DCI) and determines whether a state of the receiving device is within a scheduling threshold duration for decoding DCI. The receiving device then determines a TCI state for receiving data based on a TCI state associated with the lowest CORESET ID if the state of the receiving device is within the scheduling threshold duration, wherein the TCI state associated with the lowest CORESET ID indicates one or more sets of quasi co-location (QCL) parameters. The receiving device then receives the data from one or more transmission points (TRPs) based on the one or more sets of QCL parameters.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for utilizing synchronization signal blocks for positioning operations. In an aspect, a transmission point configures a set of synchronization signal blocks to be used as positioning measurement signals, each of the plurality of synchronization signal blocks comprising a primary synchronization signal, a secondary synchronization signal, and one or more physical broadcast channel signals, and transmits the set of synchronization signal blocks on a wireless downlink channel to enable a user device to perform a positioning measurement of at least one of the set of synchronization signal blocks. In an aspect, the user device receives, from the transmission point, the plurality of synchronization signal blocks on the wireless downlink channel, receives, from the transmission point, an indication of the set of synchronization signal blocks to be used as positioning measurement signals, and performs a positioning measurement of at least one of the set of synchronization signal blocks.

The second resource element may utilize a second subcarrier in a second symbol employing a second numerology that is different from the first numerology, where the second subcarrier overlaps in frequency at least a portion of the first subcarrier.
