Abstract:
An opening flap comprises a frame and a flap articulated thereto. A lift arm is provided, which is articulated by a principal energy accumulator. A secondary energy accumulator is articulated between the lift arm and the flap. The principal energy accumulator delivers the opening motion of the flap into a position before the dead center thereof. The secondary energy accumulator, which is distinctly weaker, delivers the subsequent opening motion.
Abstract:
A controlled counter-balance actuator opens and closes a lift-gate of a sport utility vehicle. The controlled counter-balance actuator includes a drive unit at each side of the lift-gate having a rotor that is pivotally secured to a body of the vehicle in a fixed position and a gas spring. The gas spring is pivotally secured to the rotor at one end and pivotally secured to the lift-gate at the opposite end. The rotor is indexed angularly by an electric motor so as to rotate from a home position to an open position in one direction or to a close position in an opposite direction. The rotor and the gas spring hold the lift-gate in an open position or a close position when the rotor is in the home position, move an open lift-gate toward the closed position when the rotor is indexed from the home position to the close position, and move a closed the lift-gate toward an open position when the rotor is indexed from the home position to the open position.
Abstract:
An appearance of a vehicle is improved by reducing an opening formed in an interior trim for vehicle. An actuator unit is mounted in a pillar of the vehicle, and a linking rod is linked to a rack bar, which linearly reciprocates along an axial direction provided at this actuator unit. This linking rod protrudes from the pillar through the opening formed in an interior trim, and the other end thereof is linked to a back door. Moreover, this actuator unit is disposed so that a moving direction of the rack bar inclines on a vehicle-rear side by an opening/closing inclination angle null with respect to a direction perpendicular to the vehicle and inclines inward in a vehicle-width direction by a width inclination angle.
Abstract:
A sash position sensing system for a fume hood (10) and the like having a plurality of movable sashes (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) in a frame includes an indicator element (24) affixed to each sash and an array (20) of sensor elements (22) extending along the frame. The sensor elements interact with the indicator elements when generally aligned therewith. The status of the sensor elements is captured in parallel without the need for multiplexing the sensor array, and a processor (52) reads the captured state information and calculates the open area of the frame. In further aspects, a method for determining the position of one or movable sashes in a frame and a fume hood employing the sash position sensing system of the present invention are also provided.
Abstract:
An actuating system, comprising a base part and a moving part, which can be moved by a compressively preloaded piston/cylinder assembly that comprises a cylinder and a piston rod, wherein a piston on the piston rod divides the cylinder into two working chambers, wherein the base part has an externally powered drive device that stands in operative connection with the moving part and functions in opposition to the operating force of the piston/cylinder assembly, wherein a control system monitors the motion of the moving system and detects an obstacle when a parameter representing the motion deviates from a stored parameter by a threshold limit, wherein the actuating system in the unpowered state holds the moving part with the aid of a locking device, wherein the locking device is formed by a flow connection between the working chambers of the piston/cylinder assembly and a pilot valve for controllably blocking fluid flow through the flow connection.
Abstract:
An actuating arrangement for opening and closing a hinged motor vehicle panel has a fluid drive, a control unit, and a sensor unit. The hinged motor vehicle panel is movable between a starting position and an end position, and the control unit evaluates start signals from the sensor unit and stopping the movement of the motor vehicle panel in an intermediate position. The start signals from the sensor unit correspond to current angles of opening of the hinged motor vehicle panel, and predetermined angles of opening of the hinged motor vehicle panel define certain criteria. It is possible to set at least the angle of opening of the intermediate position via the control unit.
Abstract:
A structure of an oven structure, comprised of a lateral, round body and a door panel pivoted to the body that can be lifted to open, and separated by removing the pivot members if required.
Abstract:
A connection wire is connected to a part of a rear door popped up in a door-opening direction by an urging force. A pulley rotates responsive to a driving motor inside a wire-winding device to wind the connection wire thereon. In this manner, the rear door is automatically closed. The pulley is urged in a connection wire-winding direction by a power spring. A clutch is between the pulley and the driving motor. When the rear door is pressed by an operator's hands in a door-closing direction while the rear door is being closed, the pulley is rotated by the power spring, thus winding the connection wire thereon and preventing the connection wire from becoming loose. At this time, the connection between the pulley and the driving motor is cut off by the clutch. Thus, the pulley is rotated by the power spring freely and rapidly. In this manner, the rear door can be closed manually even while it is being closed automatically. Further, the connection wire can be prevented from becoming loose and from being sandwiched between the body of the vehicle and the periphery of a rear opening thereof.
Abstract:
An oven door hinge comprises a pair of engaging devices at respective sides of the door, having a recess at the middle of each engaging device. A plural lugs are formed inside of the door for receiving covers to form a gap. The top portion of the engaging device has a through hole for receiving a connecting unit. The connecting unit has a pin extending through a spring and into the gap of the door with a portion extending into the recess. The oven has a pair of posts extending from respective sides thereof. When mounting the door onto the oven, the pin is urged by the spring to retract so that the door may be moved to the gap and the recesses of the engaging devices will be engaged with the posts, respectively, and the pin extends into the recesses to secure the door on the oven.
Abstract:
A device for the swiveling movement of a sheet is described. A stationary bearing part supports an articulated part in a swivelable manner. The articulated part supports the sheet and is movable about a substantially horizontal swivel axis. The sheet is accordingly movable between a lowered position and a raised position, the direction of this movement being determined by a vertical swiveling plane. Energy accumulators, e.g., pneumatic springs, serve as auxiliary lifting means for raising the sheet. These energy accumulators have two connection ends which are loaded in opposite directions and determine the effective direction of force of the energy accumulator. For the purpose of an advantageous arrangement of the device which economizes on space, it is proposed that the energy accumulator be arranged with its effective direction of force substantially transverse to the swiveling plane of the sheet. The two connection ends of the energy accumulator are constructed as three-dimensionally acting rolling joints.
