Abstract: A door closing coordinator for a pair of oppositely hinged doors where closure of the inactive door withdraws a stopping member from a holding lever for the active door and permits the active door to close after the inactive door. An override mechanism is provided to permit the active door to close first if a predetermined force is applied thereto to avoid damage to the active door.

In a closing device for doors in which a closer spring 8, Fig. 2 (not shown) and a hydraulic damping arrangement 9 both act on individual rocking arms operated by individual cams mounted on the door pivot spindle, the bore of the damping arrangement cam 7 Fig. 3 (not shown) is provided with stop surfaces 25, 26 which are aligned with abutment surfaces 28 on the spindle so that relative movement between the cam 7 and the spindle is possible. The hydraulic damping arrangement 9 consists of a cylinder 42 containing a piston 43 which is connected by a piston rod to the end of rocking arm 16 and houses a piston spring 40, said piston 43 acting at the end of its stroke to open a valve 47 in the end of the cylinder. Said valve 47 when operated by the piston 43 reduces the pressure in the cylinder as the cam 7 passes the "door closed" position and the cam 7 is rotated relative to the spindle by the piston spring 40. The valve 47 can also act as a pressure-relief valve for the cylinder. Before the valve 47 is operated a damping hydraulic pressure is achieved by restricting the flow of oil through a channel 44 in a pin 45, the amount of restriction being adjustable by a regulating screw 46.

Abstract: A hinge includes a stop part to secure the hinge to a stationary furniture part; an articulated lever; and a hinge cup pivotally arranged on the stop part via the articulated lever. The articulated lever with the hinge cup is mounted via an articulated axle, and the hinge cup can be secured to a movable furniture part. A damping device dampens a relative movement between the stop part and the hinge cup between an open position and a closed position of the hinge. The damping device has a linear damper including a piston and a piston rod, and is arranged outside of the hinge cup. An actuation element separate from the articulated lever actuates the damping device. The actuation element is rotatably mounted on the hinge cup, and the piston rod is movable in a substantially translational manner relative to the linear damper by a rotation of the actuation element.

Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a panel for opening and closing an opening in the fixed roof of the vehicle by means of at least one lever assembly connected to the panel. A stationary frame is fitted in the opening of the fixed roof. A drive motor is placed in the vicinity of the rear edge of the opening and in the vicinity of a longitudinal center line of the opening. The drive motor comprises an output shaft having a center axis which is perpendicular to a center axis of a rotor shaft of the drive motor. The drive motor is connected to a motor support which is attached to the frame by means of vibration dampers. The motor support supports a separate gearbox which is capable of transferring the driving torque from the drive motor to the at least one lever assembly connected to the panel.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling bus doors (14, 16) that are arranged as a pair of doors that move in coordinated relation between door open positions and door closed positions, enables passengers to access an interior area (12) of a bus (10). The apparatus includes an actuator (28, 226). The actuator includes a drive lever (34, 228) that is selectively rotationally movable between rotational positions in which both of the doors are in the open positions and in the closed positions. Exemplary arrangements include at least one controller (128) that is operative to prevent the doors from causing damage to or from being damaged by engagement with obstructions. The controller further enables a bus driver or other authorized user to control access to the interior area of the bus using a user mobile device (144).
