    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a powerfold actuator and a mirror head. The powerfold actuator includes an electrically-operable motor that rotatably drives a gear that is engaged with an output gear to pivot the housing portion relative to the output gear and a pivot post. The powerfold actuator includes a base portion fixed relative to the pivot post and the mounting arm, a first gear, a housing portion, a lifter element non-rotatably disposed at the base portion, and a spring element that urges the first gear toward the base portion. With the mirror head at the drive position, the spring element acts on the base portion via the output gear and housing portion. During powered pivoting of the housing portion relative to the pivot post, the spring element acts on the base portion via the output gear and not via the housing portion or the lifter element.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing vehicular slider window assembly includes providing at least one fixed window panel and a perimeter seal having elongated sealing portions joined at respective corner regions. Each of the elongated sealing portions includes a base portion, an elongated sealing lip and an attachment element. The perimeter seal is adhesively attached at the fixed window panel. The corner regions are sealed at the at least one fixed window panel via dispensing a sealant through a passageway formed at an end of the base portion of respective ones of the elongated sealing portions at the respective corner regions to fill a gap between adjacent end regions of the respective attachment elements at the respective corner regions at the surface of the at least one fixed window panel. A movable window panel is disposed at upper and lower rails of the at least one fixed window panel.

    Abstract: A method for assembling an electrochromic mirror reflective element includes providing front and rear glass substrates, disposing a transparent electrically conductive coating at a second surface of the front glass substrate, and disposing an electrically conductive coating at a third surface of the rear glass substrate. The front and rear glass substrates are joined via a perimeter seal and an electrochromic medium is disposed within an interpane cavity established between the front glass substrate and the rear glass substrate and bounded by the perimeter seal. With the front glass substrate joined with the rear glass substrate, and with the electrochromic medium disposed within the interpane cavity, the first and second perimeter edges are ground to round the first and second perimeter edges to provide a rounded perimeter edge of the electrochromic mirror reflective element that has a radius of curvature of at least 2.5 mm.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror system includes a vehicle door having an inner sheet metal portion and an outer sheet metal portion. A base bracket includes (i) a body portion, (ii) a mirror mounting portion that extends from the body portion and (iii) an attaching portion that extends from the body portion. The attaching portion is attached at the inner sheet metal portion of the vehicle door.     Abstract: A vehicular slider window assembly includes a movable window panel that is movable along rails at an opening of a fixed window panel. A perimeter seal is disposed at a surface of the fixed window panel and circumscribes the opening and is configured to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is in a closed position. The perimeter seal includes elongated sealing portions joined at respective corner regions, with adjacent end regions of attachment elements of the sealing portions being spaced from one another at the respective corner regions such that there is a gap between the adjacent end regions. With the attachment elements attached at the surface of the fixed window panel, a sealant is dispensed into the gaps via passageways to seal the corner regions of the perimeter seal at the fixed window panel.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror system includes an exterior rearview mirror assembly configured for attachment at a vehicle and an electrically-operable actuator. An exterior mirror head is movable relative to an exterior portion of the vehicle via operation of the actuator. The exterior mirror head accommodates an exterior mirror reflective element attached at an attachment plate. A heater pad is disposed between the exterior mirror reflective element and the attachment plate. An outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element is exposed to and is viewable by a driver of the vehicle and is contactable. The attachment plate includes wall structure that spans a perimeter circumferential edge of the exterior mirror reflective element. No part of the exterior mirror head encroaches onto the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element. No part of the exterior mirror head overlaps the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element.
