Abstract: Systems and methods provide multiple cell activation. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a wireless network, a command to activate multiple cells simultaneously. In response, the UE initiates cell activation procedures for the multiple cells. The cell activation procedures include waiting for an active transmission configuration indicator (TCI) indication. The UE monitors for the active TCI indication on any of the multiple cells. In response to receiving the active TCI indication on a first cell of the multiple cells, the UE determines one or more second cells of the multiple cells that share a same spatial relationship with the first cell according to one or more predetermined rule, and autonomously continues the cell activation procedures for the first cell and the one or more second cells.

Abstract: A communication system provides reliable wideband communications with reduced power consumption in a user equipment (UE) receiver. A UE may include receiver circuitry to receive a radio frequency (RF) signal from a wireless network and output an analog baseband signal. The RF signal includes M copies of a duplicated signal in a frequency domain. The analog baseband signal includes the M copies of the duplicated signal uniformly offset from one another in the frequency domain by a bandwidth F and including a gap between adjacent copies. The UE further includes an anti-aliasing analog filter an analog to digital converter (ADC). The ADC samples an output of the anti-aliasing analog filter at a sampling frequency selected to obtain a digital baseband signal comprising a combined digital copy of the M copies of the duplicated signal folded over each other.

Abstract: A cellular base station (BS) which transmits more flexible downlink control information (DCI) to the UE, and a UE capable of receiving and processing a received DCI message. The DCI message may have a DCI format of 0_1 or 0_2 and further may comprise an UL-SCH set to 0, a CSI request field of all 0s and an SRS request field having a nonzero value. The DCI message may indicate to the UE that the UE should: 1) transmit an aperiodic SRS corresponding to SRS request; and 2) that the UE should not transmit on the PUSCH. The DCI may include existing fields that specify either a slot offset or beam information useable when transmitting the aperiodic SRS. The base station may also generate a DCI message with an SRS trigger that is targeted to a plurality of UEs in a group, or a plurality of groups of UEs, for greater efficiency.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate transmission and reference signals (RS) associated with layer-1 (L1) operations outside of a configured carrier bandwidth (CBW) of a user equipment (UE). One example aspect is a UE with one or more processors configured to transmit UE capability information. The UE capability information includes a frequency separation threshold, where the frequency separation threshold represents a frequency separation from a CBW of the UE. The one or more processors are further configured to receive a RS within the frequency separation threshold and outside of the CBW, and subsequently perform a L1 operation based on the RS.
