    Abstract: A mobility management node in a wireless network receives message data from an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The mobility management node obtains a non-Internet Protocol (IP) Access Point Name (APN) associated with the message data, and extracts Class of Service (CoS) and/or Quality of Service (QoS) indicators embedded in the non-IP APN. The mobility management node queues and prioritizes the message data, among other message data, based on the extracted CoS and QoS indicators. The mobility management node dequeues and forwards the message data, among the other message data, from the mobility management node to a Service Capability Exposure Function (SCEF) node based on the extracted CoS and QoS indicators.

    Abstract: A device receive property data associated with a coverage area of a mobile network, wherein the property data includes identification information and location information associated with the coverage area; receive load data associated with the coverage area; determine a load threshold associated with the coverage area; determine whether the load data satisfies the load threshold; identify, based on determining that the load data satisfies the load threshold, impacted user equipment associated with the coverage area, wherein the impacted user equipment is further identified based on the property data; identify an application network device associated with the coverage area and the impacted user equipment, wherein the application network device is further identified based on the property data; determine a corrective action based on the load data, the load threshold, and the application network device; and perform the corrective action in connection with the application network device.

    Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are provided to store traffic management data that indicates different levels of congestion that are each correlated to a different category of application of an end device, a type of congestion mechanism including at least one of access class barring, enhanced access class barring, service specific access control, application specific congestion control for data communication, or unattended and background data traffic, and barring parameters; receive a request for wireless service; obtain a level of congestion; determine that the request cannot be granted based on the level of congestion; select one of the levels of congestion based on the level of congestion; generate a first barring message based on the type of congestion mechanism, barring parameters, and category of application correlated to the one of the levels of congestion; and transmit the first barring message to the end devices.

    Abstract: A computer device may include a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to select a broadcast method for a wakeup signal for a wireless communication device; instruct a base station to broadcast the wakeup signal using the selected broadcast method; and provide information identifying the selected broadcast method to the wireless communication device. The processor may be further configured to receiving a wakeup request from a machine-type communication interworking function (MTC-IWF) device; map the received wakeup request to a wakeup signature beacon signal associated with the wireless communication device; and instruct the base station to transmit a wakeup signature beacon signal to the wireless communication device based on the received wakeup request.

    Abstract: A network device may receive, a flow control request for a first device that is registered for an internet protocol (IP) pinhole service. The flow control request may include a device identifier associated with the first device and a private IP address. The network device may identify at least one of IP address information, port information, and pinhole rules. The network device may provide, to another network device, a flow control response that includes at least one of the IP address information, the port information, and the pinhole rules. The flow control response may cause the other network device to allow traffic flow through the firewall using at least one of the IP address information and the port information. The network device may provide a public IP address and a port identifier to a second device, allowing the second device to provide traffic to the first device.
