Abstract:
Probiotic composition comprising one or more probiotic microorganisms, a carrier which will function to transport the one or more probiotic microorganisms to the large bowel or other regions of the gastrointestinal tract of an animal, the carrier comprising a modified or unmodified resistant starch or mixtures thereof, which carrier acts as a growth or maintenance medium for microorganisms in the large bowel or other regions of the gastrointestinal tract, and an oligosaccharide. Method of increasing the number of probiotic or resident microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tract of an animal comprising providing to the animal the probiotic composition.
Abstract:
A probiotic composition is disclosed which is particularly useful for inclusion in food products to enhance their nutritional value. The composition comprises one or more probiotic microorganisms such as Bifidobacterium and a carrier to transport the microorganisms to the large bowel or other regions of the gastrointestinal tract. The carrier is a modified or unmodified resistant starch, particularly a high amylose starch, which acts as a growth or maintenance medium for microorganisms in the large bowel or other regions of the gastrointestinal tact.
Abstract:
This application discloses a background subtraction-mediated data dependent acquisition method useful in mass spectrometry analysis. The method includes subtraction of background data from precursor ion spectra of a sample in real-time to obtain mass data of component(s) of interest and performs data-dependent acquisition on the component(s) of interest based on the resultant mass data from the background subtraction step. The present invention also encompasses mass spectrometer systems capable of background subtraction-mediated data-dependent acquisition and computer programs adapted for use in the background-subtraction-mediated data-dependent acquisition. The invention thus provides highly sensitive data-dependent acquisition for minor components of interest in a sample.
Abstract:
A backlighting system for a cabinet sign may include a plurality of panels. Each panel includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (“LEDs”) attached to the panel. The diode has a box sign depth factor of less than about 1.4. An integrated circuit may also be located on the panel. A wire physically connects adjacent panels.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system for developing sense of rhythm. The system includes an interactive surface embedded with an RF antenna, a host, a memory unit, and a media player, an array of contact points on the interactive surface, a display device configured to export the comparison of the tempo and the beat input by a player with the preset tempo and the preset beat, and multiple physical sheets. The function of each contact point is determined or changed by the host in accordance with preset programs. Each physical sheet is embedded with an RFID tag and marked with a musical instrument and corresponding functional components, and the location of the functional components corresponds to the contact points in accordance with the preset programs. Once a physical sheet is placed on the interactive surface, the host is configured to assign a timbre of a musical instrument and the corresponding playing rules to the array of contact points in accordance with the preset programs and the RFID tag embedded in the physical sheet. The visible feedback would help players make corrections more efficiently.
Abstract:
A communication system, a user equipment and a base station are disclosed. The communication system includes a user equipment and a base station, wherein the user equipment is configured in a first communication system and having a co-existence working mode in which the user equipment performs a first communication with a base station in the first communication system and performs a second communication with an apparatus of a second communication system, which is different from the first communication system in a time-division multiplexing manner or a frequency-division multiplexing manner.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device is disclosed. A p-type substrate is doped to form an N-well in a selected portion of a p-type substrate adjacent an anode region of the substrate. A p-type doped region is formed in the anode region of the p-type substrate. The p-type doped region and the N-well form a p-n junction.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method, a server and a terminal of audio-video on demand (AVOD). The method comprises: receiving an audio-video resource request from an AVOD terminal; determining an assigned network the AVOD terminal belonging to in accordance with the audio-video resource request; determining resource nodes having the audio-video resource in the assigned network; generating a resource list according to the resource nodes having the audio-video resource in the assigned network; transmitting the resource list to the AVOD terminal so that the AVOD terminal acquires the audio-video resource according to the resource list. The present invention achieves both a smooth multiuser concurrent online AVOD and a reducing cost consumption of a network system.
Abstract:
Compounds represented by general formula (I), their stereoisomers, tautomers, derivatives, prodrugs or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, and their preparation methods or uses for the manufacture of a medicament of analgesics. In which R1 is selected from H, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, or substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl; A is bond, or saturated or unsaturated straight-chain or branched-chain hydrocarbon radical; R2, R3 are each independently hydrogen or methyl, which linked with any position of spirocyclo-structure; n and m are each independently integer between 0-2, do not represent 0 at the same time; B and D are each independently C1-C3 straight-chain or branched-chain alkylene; Y is selected from —CHR4—, O, S, —S(O)—, —SO2—, —NR4— and substituted or unsubstituted phenylene, in which R4 represents H, C1-C6 saturated or unsaturated alkyl, methyl or ethyl substituted by substituted or unsubstituted aryl or heteroaryl; and X− is pharmaceutical acceptable organic or inorganic anion. These compounds can be used as muscarine receptor (M-receptor) and/or nicotine acetylcholine receptor (N-receptor) agonist or antagonist. These compounds have good analgesic effect without side effect such as addiction.
