    Abstract: A damper includes a damper housing, a fluid chamber in the damper housing, a damping fluid in the fluid chamber, a piston displaceable in the fluid chamber, a piston rod connected to the piston, and a volume compensating device in the damper housing. The volume compensating device compensates for a displaceable volume of the damping fluid when the piston rod is immersed into the fluid chamber, and includes a seal to seal the fluid chamber relative to the piston rod and/or relative to an inner wall of the damper housing, a support element to guide the seal, a spring element to reset the seal after a damping stroke at least partially into an initial position. The spring element, the seal, and/or the support element form a common compensating member having an integral one-piece configuration. The compensating member is configured to bear loosely against a cover for closing the damper housing.

    Abstract: An actuating drive for driving a movably mounted furniture part comprises an actuating arm connecting to the furniture part. The actuating arm is designed to be movable between a first and a second end position, and a damper is provided for damping a movement of the actuating arm into the first end position and a movement of the actuating arm into the second end position. The damper performs a damping stroke during the damping, and a coupling mechanism is provided for coupling the actuating arm or an actuating part connectable thereto to the damper if the movements of the actuating arm into the two end positions. The coupling mechanism has an actuator for performing the damping stroke of the damper, and the actuator acts on the damper when the actuating arm is moved into the first end position and when the actuating arm is moved into the second end position.

    Abstract: A rotary hinge assembly includes a fluid chamber filled with a fluid and a constricted section with a throat area which is tunable by a throat tuner to control the fluid flow passing through the constricted section. Within the fluid chamber, a rotary connecting pin is mounted so that a first longitudinal end of the pin is connected to a door, and a second longitudinal end of the pin is concentrically and rotatably mounted within the fluid chamber. On the second longitudinal end, a vane is connected and adapted to rotate for displacing the fluid present in the fluid chamber towards the constricted section, when the rotary connecting pin undergoes the rotational movement in response to opening and closing of the door.
