Abstract: An automatic sprayer comprising a spray body, a prime mover mounted to the spray body, a geared eccentric drive operatively associated with the prime mover, a nozzle body to be driven into oscillating motion by means of the a geared eccentric drive, whereby treatment liquid contained in a container is sprayed by oscillating motion of the nozzle body. Spraying may be carried out upon oscillating motion of the nozzle body, thus resulting in efficient dispersion of liquid.

Abstract: An atomizing pump assembly for use with a variety of types of containers is disclosed in which a housing is formed with both an outlet port and an internal fluid chamber that communicates via a passageway with the outlet port. Tubular means provides communication between the fluid chamber in the housing and a reservoir of the material that is to be dispensed by the pump. A flexible frustroconical skirt or diaphragm having a valved opening therethrough is operatively located intermediate the tubular means and both the fluid chamber and the outlet port, with an integral upper portion of the diaphragm initially obstructing the outlet port. When an actuating cap is depressed, material within the fluid chamber is compressed until a minimum predetermined chamber pressure is achieved, whereby under pressure the skirt or diaphragm is flexed from its normal position to a discharge position. The flexing action results in movement of the diaphragm upper portion from its initial obstructing position to a non-obstructing position, whereby fluid contents may be discharged under pressure through the outlet port. Venting means are also provided.

Abstract: An electric sprayer comprising a tank having a housing extending over portions of the tank and a piston pump extending into the tank. The pump has an inlet and an outlet. Discharge equipment including a spray nozzle is mounted to an exterior surface of the housing. The discharge equipment is connected to an elastomeric tube surrounded by a coil spring which, in turn, is connected to a slender elongated tube connected to the pump outlet. A motor driven by a set of rechargeable batteries is mounted in the housing and is connected to the pump. An on/off switch electrically interconnecting the batteries and motor is mounted to an exterior surface of the housing. The discharge equipment includes portions pivotally mounted to the housing exterior surface so as to permit movement between a first inoperative position wherein the discharge equipment shields the on/off switch to a second operative position wherein the switch is exposed.
