Abstract: A method and an apparatus for generating cover images for steganography are provided. The steganographic framework is designed based on an image generation system. The apparatus may encode a message to obtain a binary sequence. The apparatus may obtain a plurality of binary segments of a particular length based on the binary sequence. For each binary segment of the plurality of binary segments, the apparatus may select an image of a semantic content (e.g., a numeral digit) from a dictionary of images of random semantic contents (e.g., random numeral digits) based on the binary segment. The apparatus may combine the selected images to form at least a portion of a cover image denoting a combination of the semantic contents of the selected images (e.g., a plurality of numeral digits).

Abstract: We describe a method of monitoring the state of a cell, tissue, organ or organism. The method comprises establishing, for a sample of micro-particles from the cell, tissue, organ or organism, a ratio. The ratio is of a selected polypeptide in microparticles which comprise GM1 gangliosides, preferably which bind to Cholera Toxin B (CTB) (“GM1 ganglioside microparticle polypeptide”) to the selected polypeptide in microparticles which comprise exposed phos—photidylserine, preferably which bind to Annexin V (“Annexin V microparticle polypeptide”). The GM1 ganglioside microparticle polypeptide to Annexin V microparticle polypeptide ratio so established may be indicative of the state of the cell, tissue, organ or organism.

Abstract: Various embodiments may relate to a memory cell. The memory cell may include a first cell electrode, a first insulator layer and a first magnetic free layer between the first cell electrode and the first insulator layer. The memory cell may also include a second cell electrode, a second insulator layer, and a second magnetic free layer between the second cell electrode and the second insulator layer. A magnetic pinned layer may be between the first insulator layer and the second insulator layer. A direction of magnetization of the first magnetic free layer may be changeable in response to a current flowing between a first end and a second end of the first cell electrode. A direction of magnetization of the second magnetic free layer may be changeable in response to a current flowing between a first end and a second end of the second cell electrode.

Abstract: Disclosed is a vesicular system comprising a surface with a vesicle immobilized thereon. The immobilized vesicle has a circumferential membrane of an amphiphilic polymer. The vesicle is coupled to a surface by means of a molecule with a non-polar moiety. The non-polar moiety comprises a main chain of 3 to about 30 carbon atoms and 0 to about 12 heteroatoms selected from Si, O, S, and Se. The molecule with the non-polar moiety is coupled to the surface via a covalent or non-covalent bond. A portion of the non-polar moiety is integrated in the circumferential membrane.
