Embodiments of the present invention disclose a transmission method, apparatus, and system for uplink transmit diversity, which relate to the field of communications. To determine activation or deactivation of uplink transmit diversity in time and effectively to improve uplink transmission quality, the technical solution provided in the present invention is as follows: determining, by a base station, to activate/deactivate uplink transmit diversity of a user equipment and sending an activation/deactivate request indication to a radio network controller, the activation/deactivate request indication is used for the radio network controller to instruct the user equipment to activate/deactivate the uplink transmit diversity. The present invention is applicable to the control of uplink transmit diversity transmission.

The present invention discloses a method for indicating pilot state, a radio network controller. The method includes: acquiring, by an RNC, state information of a scheduled non-precoded pilot, where the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot indicates activated state or deactivated state of the scheduled non-precoded pilot; and sending, by the RNC, 4Tx MIMO mode configuration signaling to a UE, where the configuration signaling carries the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot, so that the UE acquires state of the scheduled non-precoded pilot according to the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot when being configured to 4Tx MIMO mode. The method for indicating pilot state and the radio network controller according to embodiments of the present invention can reduce physical-layer signaling overheads and reduce a delay in acquiring state of a scheduled non-precoded pilot by the UE in 4Tx MIMO mode.

The method includes: receiving a common E-RGCH information message of a cell managed by a second RNC, where the common E-RGCH information message is sent by the second RNC; selecting a candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set for the UE, where the candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set includes a neighboring cell with an available common E-RGCH feature and the neighboring cell is determined according to common E-RGCH information message sent by the second RNC; and sending common E-RGCH configuration parameter information of each cell in the candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set to the UE.

The method includes: a terminal device obtains a position of the terminal device and a position of a network device, the terminal device determines a time adjustment value based on the position of the terminal device and the position of the network device, and the terminal device sends a random access preamble based on the time adjustment value and a random access channel (RACH) resource configured by the network device. Based on this solution, the terminal device may determine the time adjustment value based on the position of the terminal device and the position of the network device, and adjust a time for sending the random access preamble on the RACH resource. This helps avoid a problem that random access preamble receiving time windows overlap, thereby increasing a success rate of accessing the network device by the terminal device.
