Abstract: Dressings, systems, and methods for treating a tissue site with negative pressure are described. The dressing includes a manifold having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, a first layer adjacent to the first surface, and a second layer adjacent to the second surface. The first layer and the second layer each are formed from a polymer film. A plurality of fluid restrictions are formed in the polymer film adjacent to at least the first surface. A first plurality of bonds is formed between the first layer and the second layer. The first plurality of bonds define separable sections of the manifold. A second plurality of bonds is formed between the first layer and the second layer. The second plurality of bonds define a plurality of openings.

Abstract: A porous conduit may be suitable for use in treating a tissue site, and may include a central lumen and a porous wall positioned substantially concentric about the central lumen. The porous wall may have an open porous structure that may define a plurality of interconnected pores in fluid communication with one another. As part of a system, the porous conduit may be used with a manifold adapted to be positioned at a tissue site, a sealing drape adapted to cover the manifold to provide a sealed space relative to the tissue site, and a therapy device including a reduced-pressure source. The porous conduit may be disposed in the sealed space and in fluid communication between the sealed space and the reduced-pressure source.

Abstract: A reduced-pressure treatment system for debriding a treatment area of a tissue site and applying reduced pressure is disclosed. The reduced-pressure treatment system includes a hydrogel having a blocked acid debriding agent. The hydrogel is adapted to cover the treatment area and enhance autolytic debridement at the treatment area. The reduced-pressure treatment system includes a manifold that is adapted to cover the hydrogel and distribute reduced pressure to the tissue site. The reduce-pressure treatment system also includes a sealing drape for forming a fluid seal over the tissue site and manifold. Other systems, methods, and dressings are presented.

Abstract: A wound treatment system comprises a wound-treatment apparatus and a wound dressing coupled to the apparatus. The wound dressing includes a foam structure wound insert having pores with a greater cross-sectional area when viewed from a first direction and a smaller cross-sectional area when viewed from an orthogonal direction. Methods for making such wound inserts may include compressing foam structure material having pores with a substantially uniform cross-sectional area. Methods for treating a wound using a wound insert.

Abstract: A dressing or wound filler comprising a laminate structure of film materials. In one example embodiment, a dressing may include a first layer comprising a first film, a second layer adjacent to the first layer and comprising a second film, and a third layer comprising a material having closed cells. The first layer may further include a plurality of fluid restrictions. The second layer may include blisters and apertures to allow fluid transfer through the second film. The third layer may include closed cells and apertures between the closed cells to allow fluid transfer through the third layer. The dressing may further include a fourth layer adjacent to the third layer opposite the second layer, which may include a fourth film having blisters and apertures. The dressing may also include a fifth layer, which may be adjacent to the fourth layer opposite the third layer. The fifth layer may include a film and a second plurality of fluid restrictions.
