    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit reference signals bursts during an initial beam pairing (IBP) resource. In some examples, each reference signal burst may include an occasion for transmitting a reference signal of a set of reference signals. A second UE may measure the reference signals during the IBP resource and may determine a beam for sidelink communications with the first UE based on measuring the set of reference signals. The second UE may transmit a response message during a response occasion of the IBP resource, where each response occasion within the IBP resource corresponds to a respective reference signal of the set of reference signals. As such, the second UE may transmit a response message during a response occasion that corresponds to the reference signal associated with the selected beam, thereby indicating the selected beam to the first UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for flexible cyclic redundancy check (CRC) lengths for downlink control information (DCI) message. For example, a network entity may determine a length of a CRC applied to a DCI message based on an attribute of the DCI message. In some examples, relationships between attributes of the DCI message and CRC lengths may be stored or configured at a user equipment (UE) or may be indicated to the UE via additional control signaling from the network entity. In some examples, the UE may transmit, to the network entity, a capability of the UE to support flexible CRC lengths for DCI messages. Varying the length of the CRC applied to the DCI message based on one or more attributes of the DCI message may enable the network entity to effectively balance overhead, payload size, and frequency of false alarms.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device, such as a user equipment (UE) operating in Frequency Range 2 (FR2), may transmit or receive an indication of a joint beam management and channel state information (CSI) reporting scheme that identifies one or more measurement parameters and reporting parameters. The first device may receive reference signals via multi-port CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources in accordance with the measurement parameters of the joint beam management and CSI reporting scheme. The first device may transmit, in accordance with the reporting parameters of the joint beam management and CSI reporting scheme, a message that indicates a first set of reporting metrics associated with a first multi-port CSI-RS resource of the multi-port CSI-RS resources. The first device may perform sidelink communications with a second device based on the first set of reporting metrics.

A user equipment (UE) may monitor for one or more semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) transmissions according to one or more SPS configurations. The UE may generate a set of feedback bits associated with the SPS transmissions, the feedback bits scheduled for transmission in a first set of uplink symbols. The UE may receive control signaling that changes an availability of the first set of uplink symbols for transmission of the set of feedback bits, and then defer transmission of the set of feedback bits to a second set of uplink symbols. The UE may determine whether to transmit at least a portion of the set of feedback bits in the second set of uplink symbols, and may transmit at least the portion of the set of feedback bits in the second set of uplink symbols and communicate in accordance with the determining.
