    摘要: A magnetic sensor which comprises (1) a supporting substrate, (2) a ferromagnetic tunnel junction element which has a first magnetic layer on the supporting substrate, a tunnel insulation layer on the first magnetic layer, the tunnel insulation layer comprising aluminum oxide obtained by oxidizing an aluminum film formed on the first magnetic layer by sputtering using an aluminum target having a purity of 99.999% or more, and a second magnetic layer on the tunnel insulation layer, and (3) a converter element converting a change in a magnetic field to a change in resistance. Alternatively, as the ferromagnetic tunnel junction element of (2), one whose tunnel junction has a voltage-resistance characteristic which is asymmetric in the direction of the applied voltage is used. The asymmetric voltage-resistance characteristic may be obtained by heat treatment of a film of the insulation layer material, changing a partial pressure of oxygen in an atmosphere for the formation of insulation layer of an oxide, use of two or more target material for the formation of film and a moving substrate, and the like.

A first count unit counts the number of ridges or valleys in one direction of an X-axis direction or a Y-axis direction based on the pixel values stored in the first memory 141. A second count unit counts the number of ridges or valleys in the other direction of the X-axis direction or the Y-axis direction based on a judgment result h_flg [i] stored in a second memory 142 and the pixel values stored in the first memory 141. The judgment result h_flg [i] indicates whether or not the pixel values form ridges or valleys in the one direction. A correctibility judgment unit judges whether or not the fingerprint image data has been correctly read by the fingerprint sensor 15 based on the number of ridges or the valleys counted by the first and second count units.

    摘要: Scroll compressors may include a stationary scroll, a drive shaft, a crank shaft coupled to the drive shaft, a bearing member coupled to the crank shaft and a movable scroll coupled to the crank shaft. The movable scroll is typically disposed adjacent to the stationary scroll. Further, the movable scroll preferably includes a boss that extends in the axial direction of the crank shaft. A spacer may be disposed between the boss and the bearing member and the spacer preferably transmits orbital movement of the crank shaft to the movable scroll. A compression chamber is defined by a space between the stationary scroll and the movable scroll. Fluid (e.g. a refrigerant gas) is compressed within the compression chamber when the movable scroll revolves or orbits with respect to the stationary scroll. A discharge port may be defined within the movable scroll and may be adapted to discharge the compressed fluid to a side that is opposite of the stationary scroll. A discharge valve is preferably coupled to the discharge port and is operable to open and close the discharge port. The discharge valve may, for example, include a reed valve and a retainer that holds the reed valve. Further, the spacer may be fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the boss by a frictional fit and may contact the discharge valve. The bearing member may be, e.g., a plain bearing or a needle bearing.
