摘要: A removably attached coupling assembly can he used to he attached to a laser focus optic assembly of a liquid jet guided laser system. The coupling assembly can include a coupling body, a window assembly, and a nozzle assembly. The coupling assembly thus can allow the independent and separate servicing of the window and the nozzle. For example, to service the window, the coupling assembly can be first detached from the laser focus optic assembly, exposing the top portion of the coupling assembly. The window assembly then can be detached from the coupling assembly. The window can be removed from the window assembly for servicing, such as being repaired or replaced.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and a device for generating a jet of liquid which is suitable, in the manner of a waveguide, to carry a laser beam injected into it and which is used to process a work piece. Said device comprises a liquid nozzle for generating a jet of liquid and a gas outlet nozzle, disposed at a distance from the liquid nozzle and producing a flow of gas enclosing the jet of liquid on the exterior thereof. A gas storage is defined between the liquid nozzle and the gas outlet nozzle. The jet of liquid is passed or ejected through the gas outlet nozzle. The jet of liquid has a diameter of preferably 60 m or less and the flow of gas has a diameter of 1-2 mm.

摘要: A beam delivery technology for high power laser systems, like laser peening systems, for work pieces which may have compound curvatures, includes placing an optical assembly having a receiving optic, beam formatting optics and a scanner mounted thereon, in a position to receive laser pulses from a laser source and within an operating range of the process area. Polarized laser pulses are delivered to the receiving optic while the position of the optical assembly remains unchanged. The pulses proceed through the beam formatting optics to the scanner, and are direct to respective impact areas having nominal shapes and locations on the work piece. The scanning process includes for each laser pulse, setting direction, divergence, polarization, rotation and aspect ratio of the laser pulses output from the scanner, to control the polarization, shape and location on respective impact areas.

摘要: A laser processing head (100) comprises a first-level nozzle (110) and a second-level nozzle (120) that communicate with each other, wherein the second-level nozzle (120) is arranged downstream of the first-level nozzle (110); an inner diameter of the second-level nozzle (120) gradually decreases in a laser transmission direction, and minimum inner diameter of the first-level nozzle (110) is larger than the inner diameter of a tail end of the second-level nozzle (120). The laser processing head (100) solves the contradiction between high energy density laser and the system reliability through gradual coupling. Also provided are an application of the laser processing head, a laser processing system and a laser processing method.

摘要: A method and device for laser cladding by independently heating the cladding material and the surface of the workpiece consist in formation of the series of parallel annular laser beams, possibly different wavelengths, with an adjustable distribution of laser radiation power across the annular beams. The annular beams are transformed into a series of conical beams which are separately focused along a single optical axis, along which the cladding material is fed. The device can be supplemented with a cylindrical mirror for the multipass laser radiation through the stream of cladding material with the possibility of the laser radiation return to the laser resonator.
