Abstract: It is an object of the invention to make a single article storage display capable of fully showing performance or an appealing point to consumers. A portion of a sample packing cover member, in which a part of a sanitary napkin to be brought into contact with a wearer faces the portion while the napkin is housed in the cover member, is made transparent. The transparent portion is given curvatures in both longitudinal and lateral directions such that a contour of the transparent portion faithfully follows a contour of the sanitary napkin, thereby making it easy for a user to ascertain the contour of the sanitary napkin.

Abstract: A powered operating device such as a powered toothbrush includes a test button for momentarily testing the operability of the device. The test button simultaneously presses against both the on portion and the off portion of the switch which controls the operation of the device. While pressure is applied to the test button, the device is placed in its operative condition and when the pressure is released, the geometric structure of the test button held by the package releases the on portion of the switch at the same time or just before the off portion. Thus, assuring that the switch turns off.

Abstract: A suspension-type packaging arrangement for a product includes an upper engagement section having an opening to receive a hook or the like, a lower product support section, and an intermediate display section located between the upper engagement section and the lower product support section. The product is secured to the product support section, and is exposed to allow the user to handle the product so as to evaluate and test the product prior to purchase. The upper engagement section and the lower product support section are configured so that the center of gravity of the product is generally in line with the location at which the hook engages the upper engagement section, so that the packaging arrangement and the product hang in a generally vertical orientation for display. The intermediate display section is defined by an outwardly facing wall, and may be configured to releasably secure a display card containing product information that is visible to the potential purchaser. In a preferred form, the wall defining the intermediate section is formed of a translucent material, so as to enable the user to view information carried on both the front and the back surfaces of the display card.

Abstract: A light emitting toothbrush is provided that includes three light emitting diodes, each having a different primary color. A battery is provided as a power source, and a control circuit is used to control the diodes. The control circuit is configured to sequentially or simultaneously power some or all of the diodes, and it can be configured to vary the power to each diode, thereby providing an almost infinite spectrum of colors of light. A switch is actuated when the brush head contacts an operator's teeth, thereby activating the diodes. A package is provided that allows a potential purchaser to apply a force to the brush head and activate the lights while the toothbrush is still in the package. The control circuit can be configured to control the diodes to provide signals to the operator and/or provide aesthetically pleasing light.
