摘要: A method of manufacturing a lithium-ion secondary battery of the present invention includes at least four steps as follows: an initial charging step of charging the lithium-ion secondary battery, which has not been subjected to initial charging, under a temperature environment ranging of equal to or higher than −20° C. and equal to or lower than 15° C.; an aging step of leaving the lithium-ion secondary battery under a temperature environment ranging of equal to or higher than 30° C. and equal to or lower than 80° C. after the initial charging step; a short circuit detecting step of detecting the presence or absence of a short circuit of the lithium-ion secondary battery by measuring a voltage drop quantity of the lithium-ion secondary battery and comparing the voltage drop quantity with a reference value; and a sorting step of sorting out a lithium-ion secondary battery in which no short circuit is detected.

摘要: A secondary battery has a battery body and a restraint. The battery body has a plurality of stacked power generation elements. The restraint restrains the battery body. The restraint has a first contact section (for applying a restraining force to an outermost layer surface (e.g., a negative electrode collector) of the battery body. The restraint is configured so that a stress occurring at a boundary of a non-contact region and a contact region of the first contact section is less than a breaking strength of the negative electrode collector, and the stress is based on the restraining force and on expansion and contraction of a negative electrode due to a change in volume of a negative electrode active material layer caused by charging and discharging.

摘要: A busbar module includes a busbar holding plate and a busbar cover attached to the busbar holding plate. The busbar holding plate includes a busbar holding face and a bearing including a hole and a wall to define the hole. The busbar cover includes protrusions protruding toward each other in the axial direction at positions corresponding to the hole. The protrusions are opposed to each other with a gap less than a dimension of the hole in the axial direction. The protrusions are disposed in the hole to rotate the busbar cover about the protrusions between a covering position and an uncovering position. The busbar cover is flexible to deform such that the gap expands to allow the wall to pass through the gap during attachment of the bulbar cover to the busbar holding plate and restores its original shape when passing of the wall through the gap is complete.
