Abstract:
A system and a method of generating energy in a power plant using a turbine are provided. The system includes an air separation unit providing an oxygen output; a plasma generator that is capable of generating plasma; and a combustor configured to receive oxygen and to combust a fuel stream in the presence of the plasma, so as to maintain a stable flame, generating an exhaust gas. The system can further include a water condensation system, fluidly-coupled to the combustor, that is capable of producing a high-content carbon dioxide stream that is substantially free of oxygen. The method of generating energy in a power plant includes the steps of operating an air separation unit to separate oxygen from air, combusting a fuel stream in a combustor in the presence of oxygen, and generating an exhaust gas from the combustion. The exhaust gas can be used in a turbine to generate electricity. A plasma is generated inside the combustor, and a stable flame is maintained in the combustor.

Abstract:
In an embodiment, there is provided a method for the reduction of flow break in Single Radio Voice Call Continuity SRVCC mobility for a User Equipment UE, SRVCC mobility including Hand-Over HO execution procedure and Voice Call Continuity VCC procedure, said method comprising a step of: delaying HO execution at the UE, to coordinate HO execution procedure and VCC procedure.
Abstract:
A plasma enhanced pilot including a swirler mechanism is configured to be inserted into an existing blank (purge air) or liquid fuel (dual fuel) cartridge space within the centerbody of a lean, premixed land-based gas turbine combustor fuel nozzle.
Abstract:
A remote control device tries each of a number of command sets and detects a user's response to each attempt to identify the correct command set. Each attempt includes sending a signal to a controlled device that, if properly received and understood by the controlled device, would cause the controlled device to display a message to the user instruction the user to perform a predetermined user input gesture on the remote control device. The remote control device recognizes the predetermined user input gesture, e.g., pushing of a button, as acknowledgment from the controlled device that the most recently sent command or commands were successfully received and understood by the controlled device.
Abstract:
The present invention provides methods for establishing a service agreement between an application and a telecommunication network is provided. One embodiment of the method includes receiving a schema having a plurality of granules, selecting at least one granule from the schema, forming the service agreement based upon the at least one selected granule, and providing the service agreement.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a networked array of radar enclosures that can be arranged to cover a desired geographical location. The array can detect moving objects in the coverage area. When warranted, elements of the array can also control the movement of associated objects, for example, friendly drones. The present invention also combines attributes that facilitate the less conspicuous detection and monitoring of moving objects, with the capability of distinguishing types of moving objects.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for and method of monitoring and sterilizing an enclosed space. A particular aspect of the invention is the use of an ultraviolet light producer. The system is controlled by and the process incorporates the use of computing technology. In summary, the invention sterilizes the applicable enclosed space by (A) monitoring the enclosed space based upon the information supplied by the computing technology, (B) sending a signal to the ultraviolet light producer to maximize the ultraviolet illumination disinfecting, and (C) using a model of the enclosed space to guide the positioning of the system throughout the disinfecting process. A final element of a general embodiment of the system would preferably be a communication element that can transmit data about the positioning of the system, and other pertinent information, to a remote device.
Abstract:
Disclosed are systems and methods of identifying and capturing information about items. In this instance, the systems and methods are focused upon fish. Through the use of the disclosed systems and methods, fish can be tagged and/or the image of the fish can be captured. The information about the tagged and/or image-captured fish can be wirelessly communicated to a remote device. As desired, the information specific to the fish can be combined and uploaded into a database with other relevant information, such as location information, temperature readings, latitude, longitude, date, time, and more.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for and a method of controlling the travel and positioning of a golf bag carrier and assisting the golfer during his or her round of golf. The carrier could be a golf bag carrier of the kind typically driven by a golfer, a separate golf bag cart or a combination of both carriers. The inventive apparatus and method described herein controls the movement of the golf bag carrier without the need for the golfer to control all of the movement of the carrier and/or to walk with a corresponding device. Further, carriers that include the physical elements of the present invention have access to various details about the golf course, its surroundings and the golfer and can use information provided from such physical elements to navigate the golf course and provide the golfer with useful information that assist in the golfer's play.
