    摘要: A mobile node (MN), a WiMAX base station (BS), a Wi-Fi access point (AP) and a handover method therefore, for use in a heterogeneous wireless network system, are provided. The heterogeneous wireless network system comprises a gateway. The WiMAX BS and the Wi-Fi AP can interchange messages with each other via the gateway. There is an overlap service area between the WiMAX BS and the Wi-Fi AP. The MN accepts a network service, which is provided by the gateway, via the WiMAX BS. When the MN enters the overlap service area, it may handover to the Wi-Fi AP without interrupting the network service so that the gateway may provide the network service for the MN via the Wi-Fi AP.

    摘要: A portable computer includes a central processing unit, a monitor unit laying on and pivoted to the central processing unit, and a hard disk drive unit fitted in the storage chamber of the central processing unit. The storage chamber has a bottom wall and a side wall assembly which has two locking holes. The hard disk drive unit includes a housing, two insertion elements mounted movably in the housing, a rotary actuating unit mounted pivotally on the central processing unit, and a spring unit which biases the insertion elements to extend from the housing to engage within the locking holes of the storage chamber so as to retain the hard disk drive unit in the storage chamber. When the rotary actuating unit is turned upward, the insertion elements retract into the housing, thereby enabling the hard disk drive unit to be removed from the central processing unit.

    摘要: A femto access point (FAP) for use in a network system and a communication method for the femto access point are provided. A mobile station is wirelessly connected to the FAP. The FAP comprises a storage unit, a sniffer unit, and a process unit. The sniffer unit sniffs a packet of the mobile station. The process unit retrieves an identity (ID) code of the mobile station from the packet and stores the ID code into the storage unit. The process unit further establishes an uplink local area network (LAN) service flow and a downlink LAN service flow of the mobile station. The uplink LAN service flow and the downlink LAN service flow established by the FAP and the mobile station are used to transfer packets within the LAN.

The wireless network comprises at least one mobile station, the host apparatus, a serving base station, and a target base station. The at least one mobile station and the host apparatus belongs to a same handover group, and receive a handover request signal from the serving base station. The host apparatus transmits a handover confirmation signal to the serving base station so that the at least one mobile station and the host device of the handover group handover to the target base station. Thereby, the at least one mobile station can be handed over to the target base station without need to transmit the handover confirmation signal, so as to save the bandwidth of the wireless network.
