Abstract:
A portable electronic equipment comprises a first sensor to record media and at least one second sensor to capture data representing a physical condition of a user of the portable electronic equipment, the at least one second sensor being configured to capture the data in response to the first sensor recording the media. A processing device is interfaced with the at least one second sensor. The processing device is configured to retrieve the data captured by the at least one second sensor, to generate metadata for the recorded media based on the data, the metadata being indicative of the physical condition, and to cause the metadata to be stored in association with the recorded media.
Abstract:
A theme creator includes an input unit for selecting and/or activating the theme creator, and a control unit configured to control the theme creator. The control unit is configured to receive image data transmitted by the camera when the theme creator has been selected and/or activated, and to change an appearance of the desktop and/or stand-by image depending on the image data from the camera and/or user input. A user may create his/her own theme such that a large number of preset themes and/or the use of an external theme editor could be avoided.
Abstract:
A method includes retrieving an image stored on a device, creating a mask in a portion of the image, and creating a custom image frame from the image and the mask.
Abstract:
A hinge apparatus for automated decoupling that includes an actuatable assembly normally coupled, very robust, and suitable for the hanging of a door/canopy and the like. When mounted, the apparatus is normally decoupled where rapid egress is necessary, and complete removal of the door/canopy is desired. The apparatus includes a hinge finger with a finger pin and a reciprocal hinge finger with a hinge gudgeon. The finger pin normally intersects and freely pivots with respect to the gudgeon, such as when the door/canopy is opened or closed. The actuatable assembly employs a SMDC tip device to actuate a piston that decouples the hinge. Decoupling is effected as the piston linearly shifts moving the hinge finger such that the finger pin no longer intersects the gudgeon and the door/canopy falls away.

Abstract:
A dynamic recording including transition information is provided. Transition behavior of a graphical user interface (GUI) element on a display of an electronic device, such as a mobile terminal, is defined responsive to the dynamic recording. For example, in some embodiments of the present invention, the dynamic recording may be generated responsive to a sensor of the electronic device, such as an audio sensor, a video sensor and/or a motion sensor. The GUT transition behavior may include, for example, a window transition behavior, a menu transition behavior and/or a dialog transition behavior. The defined GUI transition behavior may include, for example, movement, metamorphosis, shape transition behavior and/or color transition behavior. Apparatus and computer program products configured to perform such operations are provided.
Abstract:
A mobile wireless communication terminal includes a wireless communication module that is configured to communicate with other communication terminals over a wireless interface, and a controller. The controller is configured to establish a connection with at least one participant wireless communication terminal via the wireless communication module, to receive from the at least one participant wireless communication terminal an identification of a compliant song file stored on the at least one participant wireless communication terminal and having a metadata tag associated therewith indicating that the compliant song file is classified in a prescribed song file category, and to execute playback of the compliant song file.
Abstract:
A method and device are provided for pairing devices using a short-range wireless communication protocol. Pairing may be performed by causing a device to output a visual pattern. The visual pattern may be detected and the device may be identified based on the detected pattern. Upon identification, pairing may be completed.
Abstract:
In a method for sharing multimedia application data by a plurality of communication devices, at least two communication devices establish a short-rang wireless communication link to a data distribution device. At least one of the communication devices informs the data distribution device of the data that are offered for sharing, and these data are presented by the data distribution device on a display. A user of one of the communication devices being connected to the data distribution device selects and requests data that he wants to download to a communication device, and the requested data are then transmitted to the communication device via the data distribution device.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a display and a touch input disposed over the display. The touch input receives touch inputs from a user and detects location of the user's hand relative to the display including location of the user's hand in front of and not touching the touch input. A controller controls the display of content, including determining an obstructed area of the display that is obstructed from viewing by the user's hand as indicated by the detection made by the touch input; determining that a default location for the display of a new graphical user interface (GUI) element that should be added to the display overlaps with the obstructed area by at least a predetermined amount; and changing a manner in which the new GUI element is displayed so that the new GUI element is not obstructed by the user's hand.
