    摘要: An alternator (AC generator) to be mounted on a vehicle comprises slip rings, brushes, a brush holder, a rear cover, and sealing members. The slip rings are fixed on a rotary shaft and rotatable together with the rotary shaft. The brushes are slidable on the slip rings and the brush holder accommodates the brushes therein. The slip-ring cover covers the slip rings as well as the brush holder and the rear cover covers electronic components including the brushes. The sealing members give a sealing performance to an inner space containing slid portions of the brushes on the slip rings. The rear cover, the brush holder, and the sealing member have a ventilating passage for positively causing an flow of air from the inner space containing the slid portions of the brushes on the slip rings to an outside of the alternator.

    摘要: In a liquid crystal display device there are provided a liquid crystal panel, a chassis, a side reflector, an optical sheet, a diffuser, and a bottom reflector. In the side reflector are provided plural lamp support bases in a row in a direction parallel to the surface of the liquid crystal panel. The lamp support bases are arranged so as to hold low pressure-side end portions of lamps respectively. A return substrate extending in the arranged direction of the lamps is mounted to the lamp support bases on the side opposed to the liquid crystal panel. Further, lead wires are drawn out toward the return substrate from low pressure-side end portions of the lamps, then are allowed to pass through the lamp support bases and are connected to the return substrate. With this arrangement, it is possible to narrow a picture frame area.

    摘要: An automotive alternator according to the present invention includes a rotary shaft, slip rings, a brush holder, brushes, a cover, a seal member, a cooling air flow path, and a water shield. The slip rings are fixed to an end portion of the rotary shaft. The brushes are accommodated in the brush holder and so held by the brush holder as to establish sliding contacts with the slip rings to excite the automotive alternator. The cover covers the end portion of the rotary shaft, the slip rings, the brush holder, and the brushes. The seal member is interposed between the brush holder and the cover. The cooling air flow path is formed between the seal member and one of the brush holder and the cover to supply cooling air to the brushes. The water shield works to prevent water from entering into an entrance of the cooling air flow path.

    摘要: In a rotary electric machine, a stator coolant passage means including a stator coolant tube and a damping member is provided between the inner periphery of a front housing and a stator core to surround the stator core. Since the stator core is cooled by coolant flowing in the stator coolant tube, heat transmission from the stator core to the damping member is decreased. Thus, the damping member is restricted from deteriorating due to high temperature. Further, an additional coolant tube is provided separately from the stator coolant passage means to cool heat-generating bodies such as a commutating device and a voltage generator. The coolant flows in the stator coolant tube prior to the additional coolant tube so that the coolant flowing in the stator coolant tube is not thermally affected by the coolant flowing in the additional coolant tube.
