Abstract: A transformer arrangement comprising a transformer having a primary side for receiving input voltage and current from a source and a secondary side for providing output voltage and current to a load. The transformer arrangement further comprises an AC-AC PE converter connected to a thyristor used for bypassing the AC-AC PE converter in case of a short-circuit fault in a terminal of the primary side and/or the secondary side. The transformer arrangement further comprises a thyristor-based AC-AC PE converter connected to a thyristor-tapped winding. The AC-AC PE converter is connected with the thyristor-tapped winding via the thyristor-based AC-AC PE converter. The thyristor-based AC-AC PE converter is connected to an impedance to protect the thyristor-tapped winding from short-circuit faults of the thyristor-based AC-AC PE converter.

Abstract: A power semiconductor module includes a main substrate and power semiconductor chips. Each power semiconductor chip is bonded to the main conductive layer with the first power electrode. A first group of the power semiconductor chips is connected in parallel via the second power electrodes and a second group of the power semiconductor chips is connected in parallel via the second power electrodes. The module also includes a first insulation layer and a first conductive layer overlying the first insulation layer as well as a second insulation layer and a second conductive layer overlying the second insulation layer. The first conductive layer provides a first gate conductor area and a first auxiliary emitter conductor area for the first group. The second conductive layer provides a second gate conductor area and a second auxiliary emitter conductor area for the second group.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for evaluating a grid condition of an AC power grid. A time series of voltage and current signals of the AC power grid is captured and a local frequency of the AC power grid is identified. The time series of the voltage and current signals is transformed at the identified local frequency of the AC power grid into transformed signals. Equivalent circuit parameters are estimated from the transformed signals based on a description of an equivalent circuit of the AC power grid. A value of a grid condition indicator is determined based on the calculated equivalent circuit parameters and the identified local frequency of the AC power grid and processed in a grid monitoring system for evaluating the grid condition of the AC power grid.
