Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a method for manufacturing a one-piece LC type optical fiber adapter, more particularly to a method that is simpler and easier to assemble the LC type optical fiber adapter.
Abstract:
An optical fiber adapter is provided. The adapter includes a plurality of walls which defines an accommodation room adapted for being coupled with an optical fiber connector. A protrusion in the accommodation room is disposed on one of the walls. The adapter further includes a shutter member having a first parallel portion, a second parallel portion substantially parallel to the first parallel portion and a connecting portion connecting the first and second parallel portions. The first and second parallel portions and the connecting portion together define a clamping portion. The clamping portion clamps the protrusion. An elastic shutter plate extends from the first parallel portion and into the accommodation room.
Abstract:
A protection system for a fiber optic coupling having a first housing with a guide slot in a side wall includes a protective cap with a slot in a side wall and defining a passage for receiving the first housing whereby the protective cap slot aligns with the guide slot in the first housing and a protective shutter pivotally connected to the protective cap for covering a distal end of the fiber optic coupling.
Abstract:
A one-piece LC type optical fiber adapter is provided. The LC type adapter of the present invention has fewer parts than a conventional one. Therefore, it is simpler and easier to assemble the LC type adapter of the present invention. In addition, the main body of the LC type adapter is unitary thereby avoiding the prior art problem that the stresses cause the two halves of the adapter to separate from each other after time.
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing a memory card and the adapter thereof, each of which has a first cover, a second cover, a frame and a PC board. The process includes the steps of forming the frame on the second cover by using the Insert Molding Method; disposing the PC board on the second cover with the PC board held by the frame; and gluing the first cover to the frame by using thermal-bonding film.
Abstract:
A protein substrate includes a base having micro-passages and reaction grooves, a polyethyleneimine (PEI) fixed on the base and a specific protein fixed on the PEI. The base is modified by plasma stripper to make the PEI bonded on the base. Mixed with tyrosinase, the specific protein can stably stick on the base due to the tyrosinase bonded with the PEI. By antigen-antibody bonding specificity, the invention can quickly detect antibody in a sample able to link with the specific protein. The specific antibody can be added with targeted biotin secondary antibody, targeted avidin-peroxidase, and color producing substrate able to react with the targeted avidin-peroxidase, such as tetramethylbenzidine or 3-(4-hydroxy)phenyl propionic acid (HPPA), so as to measure a specific antibody amount.
Abstract:
An optical fiber connector and adapter according to the present invention are provided. At least one indentation is formed on the connector and a protrusion mating with the indentation is formed within the adapter thereby physically limiting the insertion of a connector into a particular adapter.

Abstract:
A temperature-compensating device with tunable mechanism for optical fiber gratings includes a moving pin, a tube housing, a rotation sleeve, a plug and a locking screw. The moving pin has a first predetermined outer screw pitch at one end and an elongated slot at the other end for receiving the locking screw. The tube housing has a second predetermined outer screw pitch at one end and an inner screw pitch at the other end. The rotation sleeve has a first predetermined inner thread corresponding to the first predetermined outer screw pitch of the moving pin, and a second predetermined inner thread corresponding to the second predetermined outer screw pitch of the tube housing. The plug is inserted into the end of the tube housing with outer thread engaged with the inner screw pitch of the tube housing. The grating fiber is placed inside the moving pin. The slot of the moving pin is guided by the locking screw which enables the linear movement of the moving pin. When the locking screw is in position, the moving pin cannot self-rotate, so rotating the sleeve in one cycle will make the moving pin have a movement of the second predetermined outer screw pitch minus the first predetermined outer screw pitch. Once the locking screw is rotated outwardly not to guide the slot, rotating the rotation sleeve 360 degrees will result in the second predetermined outer screw pitch movement of the moving pin, which called “quick movement”.
Abstract:
A dispersion slope compensator includes a dispersion compensation fiber, an optical circulator and a plurality of fiber gratings. The optical circulator is connected between an optical fiber and the dispersion compensation fiber for introducing mixed optical signals propagating in the optical fiber into the dispersion compensation fiber. The fiber gratings are provided at predetermined positions of the dispersion compensation fiber so as to respectively reflect the mixed optical signals back to the optical fiber through the optical circulator. Thus, accumulated dispersions of the mixed optical signals are fully compensated due to different propagating distances of each of the mixed optical signals in the dispersion compensation fiber.
