Abstract:
A heating belt is laid along a conveying path for a recording medium moved after development, a halogen lamp is incorporated in a belt drive roller for driving the heating belt so as to heat the heating belt by heat generated by the halogen lamp, and accordingly, the heating belt whose temperature is controlled at a predetermined temperature heats the recording sheet. With this arrangement, the conveying speed of the recording sheet and the moving speed of the heating belt are set to be equal to each other. Alternatively, the heating belt may itself generate heat.

An excellent polymer insulator is provided which can be formed by casting a composition in a mold and which after heat-curing have a silicone rubber coating layer on an outer circumferential surface of a glass fiber-reinforced plastics core thereby providing superior electric insulation properties including weather resistance, tracking resistance and erosion resistance, etc. in severe conditions of air pollution, salt damaging or severe climate.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a feed roller mechanism disposed downstream of a transfer corotron 412 constituting a transfer section and composed of driven rollers 506 located on both edges of a continuous recording medium 100 which are outside an image transfer area and a drive roller 508 extending over the whole width of the continuous recording medium 100, so that when transferring a toner image from an image recording member 402, on which the toner image is to be formed, to the continuous recording medium 100, friction by the rollers achieves reliable conveyance against an attraction between the image recording member 402 and the continuous recording medium 100 without disturbing an unfixed image on the continuous recording medium 100. The image forming apparatus further includes a line sensor 43 for detecting a position where a reference edge of the recording medium is present, a line sensor output device which judges a position of the recording medium reference edge in cooperation with the line sensor to send a recording medium reference edge position signal or mask 61 adjustable in position for shielding a portion of a detection window of the line sensor, a recording medium position correction device 11 which finds a recording medium position correction value from an output of the line sensor for carrying out feedback control, and a guide 38 for preventing rising of the recording medium.
Abstract:
A composite insulator-producing lateral type molding apparatus includes a mold body constituted by a first molding unit and a second molding unit, each of said first and second molding units being provided, at an inner peripheral face, with recesses for the formation of a housing constituted by a plurality of shed portions and a axial portion connecting these shed portions, means for opening or tightening the first molding unit and the second molding unit, a pouring passage for pouring a housing-forming material into said recesses, and housing-forming material escape holes. A core member of the insulator is placed between the first and second molding units, the first and second molds are tightened, and the housing-forming material is poured into said recesses to form the housing. The first molding unit and the second molding unit extend laterally, and that the core member is laterally arranged horizontally between first and second molding units.
Abstract:
A composite insulator having a core member and a housing member integrally arranged around the core member, the housing member being constructed by a trunk portion and a shed portion, has a creepable distance extending means arranged on a lower plane of the shed portion. Moreover, a segment used for producing the composite insulator has a pair of segment molds detachably connected at a partition plane having a through-hole at its center portion through which the core member is arranged, an upper plane forming portion arranged at its one end surface for defining an upper plane of the shed portion, and a lower plane forming portion arranged at its other end surface for defining a lower plane of the shed portion; and a partition for forming the creepage distance extending means arranged at the lower plane forming portion. Further, the composite insulator is produced by arranging the core member in a through-hole of a mold constructed by integrating a plurality of segments, supplying an elastic polymer material into a space between the mold and the core member, curing the elastic polymer material and separating the mold at the partition plane.
Abstract:
A segment used for producing a composite insulator having a core member and a housing member arranged around the core member and constructed by a trunk portion and a shed portion is disclosed. The segment has a pair of segment molds detachably connected at a partition plane and a heating and cooling passage arranged in the segment molds respectively. The segment molds have a through-hole through which the core member is arranged, an upper plane forming portion arranged at its one end surface for defining an upper plane of the shed portion, and a lower plane forming portion arranged at its other end surface for defining a lower plane of the shed portion. A heating or cooling medium is passed through the heating and cooling passage. Moreover, a mold is constructed by integrating a plurality of segments with the heating and cooling passage mentioned above.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic apparatus system or an electrophotographic apparatus provided according to the present invention has the discrepancy of printing speed between tandem and single printing removed. The electrophotographic apparatus system or the electrophotographic apparatus is provided with printing speed changeover means 23a, 23b, 24 not only to select a printing speed applicable for the case where printing is effected with a plurality of electrophotographic apparatus A, B operatively linked together and another printing speed serviceable for the case where printing is implemented with each of plural electrophotographic apparatus put into separate run independently of one another, but also to shift the printing speeds from one to another, whereby the electrophotographic apparatus system or the electrophotographic apparatus may provide normal performance in each of the respective formations of printing.
Abstract:
A toner density detection method for an electrophotographic apparatus in which driving of a rotary roll provided at an outlet of a special vessel is continued for a predetermined period of time (e.g., several seconds) after the operation of the electrophotographic apparatus is stopped. All or substantially all of the developing agent is thus exhausted or removed from the special vessel after the electrophotographic apparatus is stopped, so that the true permeability of the developing agent can be detected by a permeability sensor when the operation of the electrophotographic apparatus is restarted. As a result, the toner density of the developing agent can be controlled and kept normal, so that the printing quality can be stabilized.
