    摘要： According to some embodiments, a Single-Instruction/Multiple-Data averaging operation is presented. The averaging operation averages multiple sets of data elements, for example, two data elements each from a first source and a second source, producing a set of averages. In at least one embodiment, in a first adder stage, a first plurality of data elements are added to a second plurality of data elements, generating a plurality of intermediate results. In a second adder stage, multiple different combinations of the plurality of intermediate results are added together, generating a plurality of sum results. The two least significant bits of each sum result are discarded.

    摘要： A system and method for improving the durability and reliability of recording media used in hard drives is disclosed. A protective overcoat made of diamond like carbon (DLC) is first deposited over a magnetic layer. A lubricant layer, typically containing Moresco lubricant or a perfluoropolyether (PFPE), is then deposited over the protective overcoat. Finally, the lubricant layer is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light for a period of time.

    摘要： A system and method for corrosion problems in magnetic media resulting from moisture penetrating through the carbon layer into the magnetic layer by diffusion or other methods are overcome by processing the carbon overcoat to stop and/or inhibit the moisture penetration. The process involves removing moisture channels from protective overcoats of thin film magnetic media by irradiating the protective overcoat with ultraviolet (UV) radiation in an inert hydrophobic chemical environment. Afterwards, the thin film magnetic media can be removed into ambient atmosphere where it is coated with a lubricant.

    摘要： A single phase line switch having a phase line input connected to a phase line of the electric network and a phase line output connected to a negative line of the electric network via resistive loads or capacitive loads. The single phase line includes a first power supply unit connected between the phase line input and the phase line output, a second power supply unit, a controlled switch configured to control the second power unit to be on or off, and a micro control unit (MCU) configured to control the controlled switch to be switched on or off. The first power supply unit is configured to provide a power supply to the MCU when the controlled switch is off. The second power unit is configured to provide a power supply to the MCU and the controlled switch when the controlled switch is on, the second power supply unit being serially connected with the controlled switch, the second power supply and the controlled switch being parallel connected with the first power supply unit. The first power supply unit and the second power supply unit each comprises a voltage output terminal connected to a power supply end of the MCU.
