Abstract:
An apparatus for cleaning a gun barrel having striations formed on an inner surface of the gun barrel includes a cleaning means that is in contact with the inner surface of the gun barrel as being moved by a drive means installed inside a cylindrical main body. The cleaning means includes a main member having a circular plate on which a plurality of insertion holes is formed along its circumference; a rotating member formed inside the circular plate and having a motor and a rotating gear interlocking with the motor; and cleaning members formed to be inserted into the insertion holes, respectively, to clean the inner surface of the gun barrel and having lower sides interlocking with the rotating gear, respectively, to be rotated. The apparatus for cleaning a gun barrel is rotated at high speed with an appropriate pressure along the groove part of the gun barrel accurately, and thus a wide area can be cleaned in a short time. Even if the brusher is worn out, an appropriate pressure is maintained by the spring, and thus the amount of wear is compensated for. Since the brusher does not secede from the barrel, the accuracy is increased, and since the respective brushers are replaceable and it is not required to replace the whole cleaning member, the cost is saved.

A carbon monoxide treatment apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a reactor body; a partitioning plate located inside the reactor body for partitioning an internal space of the reactor body into a first section and a second section; a channel member in the first section for transporting an introduced gas including a reformed gas and an oxidant gas to the second section; and a reaction unit around the channel member of the first section for reducing a concentration level of carbon monoxide in the introduced gas moving through the first section by utilizing a preferential oxidation reaction of the carbon monoxide and the oxidant gas of the introduced gas, wherein moisture of the introduced gas that has been partially condensed when passing through the channel member is stored in the second section.

A stack for a fuel cell system, including: a membrane electrode assembly, a separator that includes a fuel passage that supplies a fuel to an anode electrode of the membrane electrode assembly and an oxidant passage that supplies an oxidant to a cathode electrode of an adjacent membrane electrode assembly, a first manifold that is formed by connecting first penetration holes that penetrate the separator in a stacking direction and that is connected to the fuel passage, a second manifold that is formed by connecting second penetration holes that penetrate the separator in the stacking direction and that is connected to the oxidant passage and a baffle that is disposed in at least one of the first manifold and the second manifold. The baffle has a membrane structure to control the fluid flow inside of the at least one of the first manifold and the second manifold.

There are is a planar transformer and a method of manufacturing the same that can prevent resin being coated from being separated from a conductor during the manufacturing of a transformer by forming a dummy pattern on a board. A planar transformer according to an aspect of the invention may include: a core part having a pair of cores electromagneticaliy coupled to each other; a board part having a plurality of boards disposed between the pair of cores and stacked upon one another; a pattern part having a power transmission pattern provided on at least one board of the plurality of boards of the board part and transmitting power being input, and a dummy pattern provided on the same board having the power transmission pattern thereon and separated from the power transmission pattern by a predetermined interval; and a resin part being coated over the at least one board of the plurality of boards, the at least one board having the pattern part thereon.

Disclosed are methods for preventing or treating sepsis, a sepsis-related condition or an inflammatory disease in a mammal. In one embodiment, the method includes administering to the mammal a therapeutically effective amount of at least one humanized antibody, chimeric antibody, or fragment thereof that binds specifically to tissue factor (TF) to form a complex in which factor X or factor IX binding to the complex is inhibited and the administration is sufficient to prevent or treat the sepsis in the mammal. The invention has a wide spectrum of useful applications including treating sepsis, disorders related to sepsis, and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis.

A fuel cell system includes a reformer for generating hydrogen gas from fuel containing hydrogen using a chemical catalytic reaction and thermal energy. At least one electricity generator generates electrical energy by an electrochemical reaction of the hydrogen gas and oxygen. A fuel supply assembly supplies fuel to the reformer, and an oxygen supply assembly supplies oxygen to the at least one electricity generator. A heat exchanger is connected to the reformer and to the at least one electricity generator. The heat exchanger supplies thermal energy of the reformer, during initial operation of the system, to the at least one electricity generator so as to pre-heat the at least one electricity generator.
