Abstract:
A positive electrode including a current collector; a positive active material layer disposed on the current collector; and a coating layer disposed on the positive active material layer. The coating layer includes a binder and a inorganic additive. The binder is a poly(vinylidenefluoride-hexafluoropropylene) copolymer comprising 2 to 16 mole % of hexafluoropropylene. The positive electrode for a rechargeable lithium battery suppresses side-reactions between a positive electrode and an electrolyte, at a high voltage.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an antibacterial composition including a fermented garlic solution that is fermented by lactic acid bacteria. More specifically, it provides an antibacterial substance active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and antibiotic-resistant bacteria. An antibacterial composition according to the present invention that includes a fermented garlic solution that is fermented by lactic acid bacteria as an active ingredient controls the growth of bacteria or fungi, and is thereby able to prevent and treat infections thereof.
Abstract:
A method for measuring an absolute steering angle of a steering shaft for a vehicle using two rotatable bodies that rotate together with the steering shaft of the vehicle at a predetermined rotation ratio.
Abstract:
An indoor local area network (LAN) system using an ultra wide-band (UWB) communication system is provided. The indoor LAN system includes at least one remote terminal including a UWB module for converting input digital data to be transmitted into an analog signal of an ultra wide-bandwidth and wirelessly transmitting the converted analog signal via an antenna of the remote terminal. The UWB module receives an analog signal of the ultra wide-bandwidth via the antenna and converts the received analog signal into a digital signal. The indoor LAN system further includes at least one access point for performing USB-based wireless communication with the remote terminal in a corresponding area. The access point is adapted to receive the analog signal of the ultra wide-bandwidth transmitted from the remote terminal and convert the received analog signal into an optical signal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for determining an absolute angle and torque with an optical detection module, in which the absolute angle and the torque are determined on the basis of measurements including marked waveforms at both ends of a torsion bar, relative rotation angles at both ends of the torsion bar, and revolutions per minute of the torsion bar measured with the aid of the revolution number measurement unit.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display (LCD) device and method for addressing a defective pixel of the liquid crystal display (LCD) device, are discussed. According to an embodiment, the method includes forming a black resin film on at least one LCD panel; operating the LCD panel to selectively harden a portion of the black resin film corresponding to a spot where a defective pixel is present; and removing the black resin film, except for the hardened portion of the black resin film.
Abstract:
A home network system for supporting continuity of data transfer destined for an MS (Mobile Station) when the MS moves between wireless nodes, comprising a server for storing multimedia data and a network connecting the server to the MS via the wireless nodes. A first wireless node, while transferring predetermined data from the server to the MS, senses that a connection with the MS is cut off. The predetermined data to be transferred to the MS is then buffered in one or more of the wireless nodes at a time point of disconnection with the MS, and the first wireless node maintains a connection with the server. A second wireless node in the home network system establishes a connection with the MS and, in response a data transfer request from the MS, provides the buffered data to the MS.
Abstract:
A light concentrator for an optical antenna gradually narrows from the light receiving end to the end in contact with a light detector, and has a refractive index that gradually increases from the first to the second end, to afford a greater acceptance angle for the incoming optical signal. The increase may occur in stages of corresponding layers of the light concentrator, the layers being arranged in order of increase in refractive index from the first end to the second end.
Abstract:
A method is provided for measuring an absolute steering angle of a steering shaft for a vehicle using a first rotatable body and a second rotatable body that rotate together with the steering shaft of the vehicle at a predetermined rotation ratio, respectively. The method includes organizing a table by matching a plurality of relative rotational angle pairs (Ψ′, θ′), where Ψ′ is a relative rotational angle of the first rotatable body, and θ′ is a relative rotational angle of the second rotatable body, with respective absolute steering angles, Φs, that correspond to each of the relative rotational angle pairs. The method also includes obtaining a ΨM′ value by measuring the relative rotational angle Ψ′ of the first rotatable body and obtaining a θM′ value by measuring the relative rotational angle θ′ of the second rotatable body, using at least an angle sensor having a measurement range of Ω. The method further includes obtaining an absolute steering angle Φ of the steering shaft corresponding to the measured relative rotational angle pair (ΨM′, θM′) by looking up information in the table.
Abstract:
A high-speed WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) system for enabling communication between piconets is configured by at least one first device located in the child piconet. A C-PNC (Child Piconet Coordinator) device includes a C-MIB (Child Piconet Management Information Base) stores mapping information associated with devices located in the child piconet and a P-MIB (Parent Piconet Management Information Base) stores mapping information associated with devices located in a parent piconet. At least one second device is located in the parent piconet. The first device includes a C-MIB and a first B-MIB (Bridging Management Information Base), detects destination information of data using the mapping information stored in the first B-MIB to transmit data to a device located in the parent piconet, and transmits the data containing the detected information to the C-PNC device. The C-PNC device broadcasts the mapping information stored in the C-MIB and P-MIB to different piconets, and switches and transmits the data from the first device to the parent piconet. The second device includes a P-MIB and a second B-MIB, and receives the data from the C-PNC device.
